Lewis Neal in a 3-4

I like Aranda and the different looks he's going to put on the field, but I'm not sure we have the personnel for a 3-4 right now. The biggest example is Lewis Neal. As a 4-3 end he provided a really good pass rush last year. As a 3-4 I feel like he'll lose that effectiveness.
Thoughts?

We do.
And in regards to Neal, he can play as a 3-4 DE. People forget that he played DT 2 seasons ago at like 260lbs. Kid is ridiculously strong and can hold his own inside. Not worried about Neal, he's gonna do fine.

We've been fielding 230 pound DE and 215 LBs in a 4-3 I don't think prototypical size matters in this scheme. We aren't running a scheme like Bama

Thoughts...why do you think this?

What you feel don't mean shite. I'm sure Aranda and Orgeron knows how to get the most out of Neal.
Frick you

Because most 3-4 ends are about 25 pounds heavier.
Neal had 8 sacks last year. Can he match that this year?

What a stupid post by the OP

Similar in looks yes. Player size recruiting tactics and play calls Wil be different.
Wonder how much different Pruitts 3-4 will be over Kirbys.
Plus we'll be in 4-2/ 2-4 looks most season anyway

No we aren't. Just like all 4-3 schemes aren't the same, not every 3-4 schemes are the same.
Bama runs a traditional 3-4 2 gap scheme that relies on size up front. At Wisky, Aranda ran a 3-4 1 gap scheme that is attacked based and uses speed and athleticism up front to attack and be disruptive.

My honest opinion is that we are going to be nasty whether we are in a 3-4 or a 4-3. Aranda knows what he's doing and it's gonna be special.

OP needs to disabuse himself of the notion that the term 3-4 rigidly dictates personnel. It doesn't.

probably the same folks who claimed we ran a 4-2-5 when we were in nickel

You picked the worst example ever.
