Bro. We go way back. Let’s not panic just yet. You know I usually lose my mind. Will got this shite. block out the noise, narrow the focus. Chance favors the aggressor.

This is annoying as frick but I’m hoping we get it right and it won’t matter shite.

I hate when we actually have to guard and that we can’t shoot. We do a lot of other things well though.

Tonight? That’s been all season. Terrible effort all around though. Hopefully this motivates them to play extra hrd vs auburn saturday.

Wade’s teams here have been terrible defending the perimeter

Remember Auburn and fricking Utah 2 yrs ago?

It’s terrible but like I said we do a lot of other things well. Just gotta lean on them.

Coming into the night LSU was 309 in % of opponents points allowed to come via the three. Safe to say that ranking will continue to drop after tonight.

Despite the versatility to switch most screens or have “big men” who should at least be competent on the perimeter, they are AWFUL at defending the 3. It’s clear Wade doesn’t care though because it has been a problem all year.

I don’t think I can remember a team that just flat out loses people on the perimeter like this one does.

I don’t know how we are so bad at it. Every year.

Haha. Yeah, no defense tonight. But in the 2nd half Vandy really won it by continually driving in basically uncontested and getting layup after layup. Williams did try to defend a few times like you should, but they called him for fouls when he tried to do it with some authority. I didn't see any resistance other than that though.

Yeah, this pissed me off more than the perimeter defense.

This team, especially the Guards, don't know what transition or perimeter defense is. It was an effective plan by Stackhouse, and LSU never adjusted.

This problem isn’t new. There were plenty of games last year where LSU’s perimeter defense made their opponents look like the 17-18 Golden State Warriors. If you’re a 3 point shooting team, the opportunity is there for the taking.

Yea, he coached a good game. They threw the kitchen sink at us with the mixed defenses and the barrage of 3s. Difference in the game ended up being that kid going 7-9 in the first half. Just ridiculous.

We really could use one or two more quality rotation players. We're really only getting production from 6 guys on any given night. We need Manning back, and we need to hope he can keep shooting 40% from deep.

I'm not a basketball guy, but it didn't keep me from being fanatical about it back in my LSU days. Slept on the sidewalks, never missed home games, etc.

My eye is not trained on what helps or hurts us the most, but I agree with you, guard play seems to be lacking, IMO.

Just not consistent enough on both sides

"Practice makes perfect" has always been false.
"Perfect practice makes perfect" is more like it.
If a coach does not put emphasis on the "D" at practice,
he can not expect it at the game....
and it must be HIGH LEVEL at practice as well.

If we are honest, we do not have a true point guard.
