Will Wade has been subpoenaed, not indicted. From the tapes, I see no criminal act. Wade needs a good lawyer and needs to tread carefully so as not to perjure himself in any testimony or be caught trying to obstruct justice. He is not the target, just a player. The FBI is casting a big net and garnering information. Disregard the talking heads...they thrive off of this. Will the NCAA sniff around...maybe...but they are tiptoeing in a minefield. They know what is under the rocks. Will it hurt our recruiting...maybe. Perception is reality regardless of the facts. If Wade is caught up in the net, then he and LSU will pay the price. I hate all this crap... but it is way above my pay grade to know the real truth. I do know this though, college basketball is corrupt.

Has he actually been subpoenaed or was there just reports that he would be? Reports conveniently timed to come out after we beat Tennessee?

My point...hang loose and let it play out. Smarter people than us are dealing with this issue...we are observers.

You just composed a few paragraphs of mundane known facts and generalized statements.

The NCAA is probably going to be really cautious in this matter. Digging too much dirt May reveal the corruption in the entire system. They certainly wouldn't want anything to happen to the blue bloods! God forbid something happen to their goose that laid the golden egg!

Not a requirement for the NCAA to take action.

Let's see how this plays out but criminality is not the sole issue.

Exactly. It is all about the $$$ - always has been, but the $$$ is astronomical now. March Madness brings in so much dough that the NCAA will tread lightly for fear of WW possibly blowing the lid off this thing.

The point, you twit, is to remain calm and let things play out instead of running around like your hair is on fire.
And NO, it isn't part of some grand scheme cooked up by either\and\or the NCAA, the SEC, ESPN, the FBI, the KKK, CIA or any other shadowy organization to "get" LSU.

Is it too much to ask the LSU fan base to act like adult males just once?

He's not going to get in trouble with the FBI. He's not going to jail. That is not the concern. At least, it surely isn't my concern.

It's what the NCAA does with Wade's testimony. The NCAA, as we all well know, is it's own entity, and they make decisions, seemingly on a whim. There is no consistency in how they treat programs for similar cases. So we have no idea what they'll do.

My gut feeling is that there just isn't enough specifics being discussed in those tapes, or really any specifics, and the NCAA would rather not go down the wormhole. This isn't a case of sexual violence or some other abuse. So I just don't see this amounting to more than maybe a short suspension, probably next year, if at all, and some negative press for a while.

The defense in the Dawkins trial has subpoenaed Wade, not the FBI. So is it the defense "casting a big net"??

When did this occur?

Inform me when I said this?

Quit making false accusations, twit.
