I had no faith in Alleva making a good hire at this time last year and the only thing that has changed is he hired Ed Orgeron. So, absolutely not.

There is no way he is fired this year unless there is a scandal. Our only hope is that Orgeron wins big or Alleva is hired away by someone else before O has to be fired.

Preach

Not to mention what does Miles have to do with Seth Stewart not joining the program at the last minute this summer and the transfers of Okeke, Allen, and Dodd?

And as far as depleted DL goes, whose department has that been since January 2015??

This is why I opposed firing Miles when we did. Alleva needed to go first so that we would get a competent search for a replacement.

Will Wade may have bought him some time, though.

ot true when you lose a third of those recruiting classes to transfer and dismissal those classes are not what they were predicted to be.

agreed but they are still better than MSU's classes. there is zero excjse for getting dominated by the 7th or 8th most talented team in the sec.
it would be one thing of we lost a hard fought game on the road with all this inexperience but our team quit and had horrible focus and discipline.thats on the head coach imo

Zero faith, we'd end up with this guy as our next coach because he's familiar with coaching in Louisiana and he wants the job.

many people said this. Looks like they were right. either both go or hold miles until alleva can go also. oh well. sigh.

That's exactly right and it was obvious based off his failed BB hires that the man was clueless in making hires.

Wade seems ok and his recruiting looks great, but the guy is yet to coach his first win for LSU.

You think the people of Louisiana care what one of the most mentally handicapped lunatics on the Rant thinks about hiring coach O and firing your utterly incompetent idol. The people of Louisiana are astronomically far more intelligent than a Miles butt licker who is so arrogant that he actually believes he is the smartest lunatic on the planet.

Good luck living with your nemesis, as he will be the head coach here at LSU for many years to come and it will be very fun watching you being miserable as shite.

By the way, your posts are utterly unhinged like you.

No - but this was the assumption that Les Miles was fired on.

It was Jimbo Fisher, Tom Herman, Fedora... Nobody said the plan was to fire Les Miles and promote an assistant coach.

I had a feeling from the start they would take the cheapest deal they could get. A bad move. You can't sell a program with a devious AD to an A-list coach, and you can't recruit A-list talent without an A-list coach. We had one and bad administration ran him off.

You post this often...but do you not realize the problem. The people thrilled about the hire have zero qualifications to hire a football coach. Trust me I have many FB friends who were very excited about O. Most are women..the other are dumb.

Neither do you moron. Indeed, you are one of the most stupid people and biggest Miles butt lickers on the rant.

O's records at lsu just 3 games into his tenure
1. worst lsu loss ever in lsu - msu history

Four games you retard.

Meanwhile, the reason we lost last night is because we got our butts kicked in the trenches on both sides of the ball because your Idol left the cupboard far more barer than everyone thought. Not only that but this isn't one of those problems we can snap our fingers to fix overnight. In fact, it will take a couple of years if not more to fix.

Indeed, we should have fired your incompetent idol sooner before this deterioration in the program inevitably manifested. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Coach Zero isn't going anywhere. The 12 million dollar buyout cements us to that man. Those who say we have money to do what we want may be right but we have never proven that. We bailed on Jimbo in 2015 because we didn't want to pay his buyout. We didn't want to "over pay" for Herman in 2016. We probably don't get him anyway but the comment "we don't want to over pay is telling". With the exception of Saban in 1999 LSU has ALWAYS hired bargain basement coaches.

Only idiots like you pay attention to recruiting service ratings idiot. Coaches do their own evaluations.
