yea

The 09 team had only one loss heading into that game if I remember correctly. They were also coming off 2 convincing wins in a row (Auburn and Tulane) and playing their best football of the year heading into Tuscaloosa.

Their D has progressed this year.

Take the Ole Miss debacle and LSU is a top 5 team heading into TTown.

I think so. Simple reason; Mett vs JJ

Despite the UF game, JJ was doing really well that season. Didn't have a run game or offensive line. We have more rushing yards in 2013 by our runningback crew prior to Furman than we had the whole year in 2009. The touchdowns before Furman far exceeded that whole year. I definitely thought we would give Bama hell and we did. We lost both JJ and Scott in the 3rd quarter of that game and we got fricked over by the refs.

I'm confident that we can score in the 20s or 30s against Bama too, but the defense is the big question.

Like I've said in another thread, best thing LSU can do is rush rush rush. Keep Bama's defense off the field as much as possible. Their offense will drive all over our defense. Just take a look at what they did to Tennessee this past weekend. They'll score and score fast.

I have less faith. I'm afraid the LSU defense won't allow the Tigers to keep it close enough to have a chance, where Bama's will stop the LSU offense more than once. But, I always have hope, no matter how little.

You must be kidding. Our defense this year is the poorest in the past 10...

I have been proud of every game the Tigers have played against BAMA, except the BCS
F-UP. We have lost when we should have won, and won when we should have lost, that's football. BUT,Coach Miles and the Tigers have been the most consistent hurdle for the TIDE every season since MILES vs SABAN started in 2007. It's our turn to win one again!!

I don't know if faith is the right word, but ... I see Bama dominating both lines, offense and defense, and taking advantage of turnovers to win by a large margin. That's simply how I predict the game will go. I'd be quite happy to be wrong on this; the thought of losing to Bama for the third consecutive time is not a pleasant one.

This is how I feel. Our offense will score some points, but their defense will adjust and get some key stops. Our defense will give up some big plays and then get steamrolled the second half by the Bama OL and run game.
