Coach Miles we are forever grateful for the success you have brought to LSU and you will always be an LSU tiger. May God bless you and your family.

having been fired myself a time or two, i know how he's feeling right about now.... it sucks... and because he's a likable guy it makes this that much harder....
no matter what Les Miles' character and genuineness are second to none... as good a guy as they come....
hope he stays in BR, but I would totally understand him getting away....

Like most presidencies and even many relationships, once it's over and time goes on, we look more favorably at the past.
I was never a fan of Les and am happy that we are moving on, but at the same time, it is sad to see him go.
While I don't think he was a great coach anymore, he was a good man, and I sincerely wish him the best and thank him for the memories and what he did for LSU and our state.
It was clearly time to go separate ways, but I think all LSU fans, even myself, will hold some endearment for the mad-hater. That said, time for bigger and better things!

Coach Miles,
Thanks for everything you did for us. You truly embraced our community as your own. You were fun, upbeat, and quirky. You created countless memories that I'll cherish forever. My favorite will always be Auburn 2007, I was at the game with my dad. We were biting our nails til the finish. When Flynn dropped back and launched the ball into the air, it seemed to stay there forever. We both jumped out of our seats and celebrated, and it's a moment I'll cherish forever.

Bittersweet.
Is it possible to miss someone, but be glad they are gone?

Very glad he was able to say goodbye to the team this afternoon.
Les Miles told the team he's forever a Tiger: "Ya'll go run the table and make me proud. I'm pulling for you every Saturday night."
The team gave Miles a standing ovation and hugged him on the way out.
I wish Coach Miles the best in the future.

I will miss Les. One of a kind character. But the change had to happen.

Lot of great memories the past 11 years. And he held the team together after Katrina and Rita. Most coaches couldn't have done that.
