Yes it was time. But he was a great ambassador for LSU! He deserves a respectful send off. Thanks for the memories!

Les Miles will go down as one of the best ambassadors of LSU. A class act on and off the field. Will remember the Arizona State game moved because of Katrina. Exciting finish. The Matt Flynn throw to Byrd when nobody understood why you risked it...it was your style of play. Thanks for a fun ride, a national title and being a face for LSU. Best wishes to you and your family!

Sorry to hear the news this afternoon. Have to say, I am not surprised, but I still can't believe he will not be leading the team out onto the Tiger Stadium field this weekend. A great man and a great ambassador for LSU.

As an outsider, he was a quality opponent for most of his career at LSU, but as most coaches do after long tenures at the same school, things changed and he didn't so much with them. I enjoyed his candor, his sincerity, and his quality from afar and hope he finds a nice place to land so I can keep enjoying him. A helluva man and damn fine football coach.
