The kid that got trucked (Matthews) is listed on the A&M roster as a "Big time run stopper" He has great stats and will be drafted.

I'm really thinking of having this as my sig quote. He broke Clowney's freshman sack record by 4 I believe. Add to the fact that he's going to get bigger and learn more techniques in the next two years. He absolutely blew past Collins on the weird fumble/pass incompletion in the LSU/A&M game.

And BTW, Mingo was a 1st rounder.

This is a huge part of the reason why LSU is a national draw. Viewers will watch just to check out LF. Young man is Primetime!

When the safety is the leading tackler on your team the defense has problems.

"Walker was so slow."

Sarcasm I hope? If not, then, uh, no!

From Wiki:

"Walker also competed as a sprinter at Georgia, where he was a two-time All-American selection. He was a member of the SEC champion 4x100m relay squad in 1981. He run the 100 meters in a PR 10.10 seconds in 1982 and improved his high school 100-yard dash time of 9.5 to 9.3 seconds. He also competed in the 55-meter dash in 1983, recording a then-world record time of 6.11 seconds."

In other words, Walker was approximately as fast as Trindon Holiday while weighing at least 50 lbs. more.

From that same time period. Walker, Bo, and Marcus Dupree some of the most freakishly fast big backs to ever be seen.

Or your defense might be great Did you have go back all 11 years to find that or did you just guess about 2003?

I make a couple of cracks about how bad A&M's defense is and the Tiger fans come running to their aid.......what's up with that?

I didn't guess. From some reason that statistic always stuck with me...that on one of the best defenses I had ever seen the leading tackler was a freshman safety from my high school alma mater. when you said that, 2003 immediately came to mind. I didn't check, but I'd assume 2003 was not the only year he lead the team in tackles, but it may have been.

Haha...didn't see all that. I just saw the crack about how one's defense has to suck if the safety is the leading tackler.

Fournette's run was epic...at the point of impact it's basically irrelevant to who was broken down trying to make that tackle. Very few safeties ever are going to do anything but get trucked standing still waiting for a guy that big and fast to slam into them.

LaRon getting trucked WHILE moving forward...

Dude got trucked because he didn't understand physics, not because he can't play football.
