Assuming that Fournette remains healthy will he eventually surpass Charles Alexander's record at LSU? Does anyone think they have similar running styles?

They are not that similar yet. Charlie was 6'2" 215. When he hit the hole he was at full speed pretty much by the second step. That is what was so amazing about him. His acceleration was mind boggling. He could hit the hole and he could be gone. Also, Charlie, as I remember did not spend a lot of time making a lot of moves. He just hit the hole and pretty much ran over you or just by you. Seems right now, and this may change, LF is spending more time making multiple moves to make people miss. Just my opinion and not saying it's good or bad. Just not similar yet. Charlie was a freakish athlete for his time and LF is the same for his time.

I'm sure CA got more than 5 carries vs Arkansas

Charlie was a stud, long before the word was thrown around lightly, I hope LF turns out the way everyone thinks he will, but he is the grasshopper to Charlie's master, he was a Heisman candidate back when that wasn't thrown around very lightly either

Oh I remember hearing how great he was. I remember seeing #4 run all over a team but i also remember Carlos Carson catching a bunch of tds one game. I want to say one was Rice and the other Wyoming. I think we won 77-0

Umm, no not at all. LF isn't even close to Jeremy Hill level much less Alexander's.

weird thing is it seems like it was a day game. One of my memories was all the players hurt on the field...probably cramps but I thought "we are killing them"

been a while but I'm almost positive it was a night game, not much TV for us back then, cable/ESPN was in its infancy

That is why it seems so weird. It was probably early september and didn't get dark until halftime

The Mick you are wrong about that statement. Charles Alexander had a awful freshman season. He ran for like 300 yards his per carry average was below 3 yards. In fact lot of fans were hating on him like they have LF this year. But the truth is Fournett had 1 of the best seasons as a freshman running back ever. In my opinion only Dalton Hollard was better
