Dude hit another HR last night in NYY win. Batting .338 leading the AL for batting title. But what’s most impressive is his all around game. Case in point...

1) Defensive Versatility - Classic Utility value having played 3B, 2B and 1B and wine 3 Golden Gloves

2) Best Lead off Hitter with power numbers - 20 Dingers and 83 RBI’s from lead off position is amazing.

3) Batting Title - .338 BA leads the AL.

4) Leadership - came to NYY and quickly established himself as a clubhouse leader that is respected amongst his teammates and a pretty intense fan base and ruthless media.

Are you in the military?

Your evaluation, reads like a Navy eval/fit-rep.

I like it!

Even if i take off the purple and gold glasses and my love for LSU guys, he is objectively right there in the MVP race.

Eta Bregman as well.

LeMehieu is having an amazing year and building a great case, but it’s Trout’s award to lose.

Everyone is battling for 2nd place, Trout is this year's AL MVP. Saw this article on Friday

Mike Trout pretty much has the American League MVP award wrapped up already. Seriously.
Continuing his torrid play in the MLB, Trout has been an unstoppable force for the Angels, and 2019 is another season to cement that.
The Houston Astros look to be the only team that has multiple players in the conversation that will fill out the rest of the MVP order.
The month of August usually brings out the real contenders for the MLB playoffs, while also cutting off pretenders who hung around too long. With that, the case for winning league MVP awards is also getting closer to being decided, and the American League is well on its way to finishing up that race.

Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout looks to be the runaway candidate at this point, and his complete domination and ownership of the AL looks to have reached yet another level for him. For a player that looks to be an Angel for life, Trout has been putting up crazy statistics, which is normal, but his 2019 season has been on another level.

For the remainder of the league, they will have a very, very tough time trying to conjure up some sort of competition to even sniff Trout. Considering other positional players, the likes of Rafael Devers, DJ LeMahieu, Carlos Santana and even Alex Bregman have all had solid seasons on their respective teams, but none even come close to the type of player and season that Trout has provided in 2019.

Boegarts, Bregman, and Chapman have as good or better chances for 2nd than DJ.

DJ is having a wonderful year but don’t fool yourself. Trout is on a whole different level.

All that talk about how great a season he's having and not one statistic.

Probably but DJ deserves the hype. He's been insane this year. His numbers with RISP are just nuts.

He's in the first year of a two year contract. Do they give him a big extension? He's getting up there in age.

He just turned 31. Probably has one big contract left. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Yanks extended him a 4yr/$64-70m contract.

Unfortunately, everyone seems to be jumping on the Mike Trout bandwagon. DJ will finish second. I hope I’m wrong tho.
