Lafourche Gazette Article

One of the cool things about NIL has been LSU players making appearances/signings at the Blue Boot Rodeo in Grand Isle. This started with local Gavin Dugas a few years back.

The Blue Boot Foundation helps to raise awareness for childhood drowning/water safety. This was started after the death of Lafourche Native Riley Bourgeois, a 2 year old who passed away in a tragic accident in 2018.

Last night Gavin Dugas wore the cleats and sent the first pitch of the game over the fence. Tommy White wore them also and sent the last pitch of the game over fence.

Those look pretty good and would be perfectly "Fine" if the entire team wore them.

So tired of the "I'll wear what I want because I'm cool" approach.

Team. Unity. Everybody wear the same shite.

Wear the pants the same length and wear the same style socks. (I like Skene's "Old School" stirrups with the shorter pants)

That's what all the College and MLB teams used to wear. Bring that look back..........

Could you imagine the whole team wearing gold chains and one batting glove? Me either.

Tommy Tanks has more swag than most and I am here for it.

Shoes are different. Shoes that you find comfortable might wreck my feet. As far as the design goes, that shite costs money to get done.unless you wanted to paint them all yourself.

Im not old enough yet to die on this hill.

I am old enough to wish they would all wear the same color cleats though. Black, white, purple, I don't care. It just looks better if all the shoes are the same base color.

Don’t do anything to support charity or local community and use your name, image and likeness to deliver that message. Got it. Makes sense…..

Yeah this thread is bringing out all the Facebook Karens. frick their meaningless opinions. My wife and I have suffered though a tragedy of our own and started our own foundation in the aftermath too. Having that life experience I know how neat that must be for the family that suffered through that tragedy to see the LSU players repping their foundation.

Good for them and glad they got this exposure. Thanks for sharing OP

That was pretty great.

Blue Boot Foundation is really working hard to get the word out about water safety.

I know the family and they are great people who are constantly working to help others

You brought up an interesting point. I wonder how many times a game has started and ended with a HR.
