The 1970 LSU vs Ole Miss game thread reminded me that youngsters could sit in the upper south end zone for $2.50 back then. Amazing considering same tickets were over $100 for the Auburn game last week.
Of course student tickets were free until a couple of decades ago
Anyone recall cheaper tickets?

When I was at LSU '93-98 , I believe it was $21 for season tickets on my fee bill.

the cheapest I remember was $8 in the south end zone. hell, I had 2 season tickets to both the Saints and the Tigers and paid less than $300.

I think it was $96 for student season tickets this year, not bad at all.

2010 Tennessee game. My ticket fell out of my pocket somewhere between the parking lot and the gate. I only had a $10 bill on me (no baller.) I told my group to go on in and I would either find a ticket or go back to the tailgate. I held up one finger, a guy came up to me, and I told him I only had $10. He said "what the hell," and sold me the ticket.

Pretty sure they were 7 a piece back in 04-05.

My little brother went to Ole Miss around the same time and I remember him asking me how many friends were coming up for the LSU-OM game. He was going to buy a few book of season tickets and wanted to make sure he had enough.

Back then OM athletics didn't limit the number of student tickets you could buy.

Between LSU, Auburn, and whoever else they had at home he was able to resell and make his money back while getting friends into games.

I remember an AUburn ticket from when I was a kid (mid-90s). It was $21. I felt so bad that my dad paid $80 to take 4 of us to 1 game that I didn't even want to go. (We have season tickets.)

I went to the LSU-UGA game back in 2004 for free.
That was my least expensive ticket.
Shady guy said he'd get me and some friends through the gate for 50 bucks each without a ticket. I said we'll give you the money when we get inside. He took us past all the UGA students and let us in some side gate next to the students. The 4 of us walked in, he said said alright $200. I said "thanks" and started walking away ignoring his request. He got mad, I didn't care, my friends felt bad and wanted to give him some money. I said how about we go tell the cop what just happened since there was one nearby. He said frick you. I said "thanks". We went sit in the LSU section right above the tubas.

Joke was on me since UGA was pretty mad about us kicking their arse twice in 2003. Was not a fun game, or post game.

For one of the Hallman era games, I was walking with a friend to the stadium. Friend was holding up 2 Tix for sale. A 12-13 year old kid comes up, asks how much for a ticket. My friend tells him $5.00 a piece. Kid laughs in our face and walks off.

Low point as a LSU fan.

A few years ago, the Tigers played USL. I needed an extra ticket for a friend from high school that was visiting. I traded a cold beer for her ticket. Tigers blew them out, and later I wished I still had the beer.

during the '90s, the program was absolutely terrible with several years straight of losing records.

I remember a promotion one year where they tagged an area in one of the upper decks and called the area "Curley's Corner"....they sold tickets there for $5 apiece.
