Good

What’s he supposed to say? It’s a stupid question.

You could tell CJJ didn't like the question & wasn't going to answer. From his facial expression, looked like he wasn't going to throw his players under the bus.

Needed to be asked. Not a big fan of Vann, but she asked the tough question.

This isn’t little league, it’s a very fair question. But I don’t blame Jay not answering.

I’d much rather the media ask direct questions about real issues than lob up softballs like they usually do.

It's very much a relevant question and was even brought up during the telecast.

It is

What is he supposed to say? Throw a player(s) under the bus?

Say the obvious that they aren’t getting timely hits on when there are bases loaded?

Say “that’s baseball”?

It's purely mental and there's no sorting that out except the player himself. Evidenced by how awful White's at bats were and Trav also swinging at a ball a mile outside the zone.

She has to ask but had he answered it would have been “we just have to do better there”

How would he even answer that question? It’s not a strategic decision he made to leave the bases full. And he sure doesn’t coach people to strike out when the bases are loaded.

What’s he suppose to say? He’s supposed to throw his players under the bus? He’ll take care of it internally with the team they’ll get it right. Some of y’all must of forgot how this team got here. They didn’t forget how to hit they’ll get it all together

I’m not saying Jay has to give soliloquy about it if he doesn’t want to, but as a fan base shouldn’t we want our media members representing us and asking the tough questions?

And from Jay’s perspective there’s a way to handle it, just look at how Brian Kelly has talked about special teams.

No. No it’s not just mental.

Sometimes the pitcher throws a damned strong pitch.

One can have a perfect approach and still
Not execute.

Its evident that jay doesnt like leah. But either way, he could say its just random bad luck variance. But the media wouldnt like that answer

It’s a great question if you love hearing coachspeak.
That’s about all you’re going to get out of a question like that.

The majority here disagree. He can speak about the issue and not throw any players under the bus. Talk about situational hitting, potential stress and anxiety, or other vague items if he chooses to, but refusing to answer it actually makes it look like it is somewhat mental and monkey on the back. I think one big two out three run double would do the team wonders...
