That's why everyone is pissed, nothing more.
BS, most of these babies are pissed because we lost. If Lee played and the final was 21-7, they'd still bitch about something.
If it was 21-20, LSU played all out and still lost, these same people would still be bitching and complaining about something.
Hell, most of them bitch when we win games.

This is the key to understanding followers of almost any LSU sport.

It is amazing that Miles misunderstood the dynamics of the QB situation. It's even more amazing that it look this long before it blew up in his face. In the November 5th game, Jarret Lee played a horrid quarter of football against the Crimson Tide and was pulled...
Jordan Jefferson played a horrid half of football January 9th against the Crimson Tide and was not... The problem is consistentcy. When you are the leader of a team, consistentcy is one of the most important traits that one can have to maintain buy in from that team...
Miles' refusal to be consistent in his dealings at it related to QB playing time (based on performance) has caused him bigger issues than just losing this game, he slowly lost the belief of his team in his decision making everytime Jefferson returned to the field in the 2nd half...
Would have inserting Lee into the game have changed the outcome? Probaly not, however why leave that type of doubt? The problem is that we and his team will never know what would have happened, because Miles wasn't consistent.

Leaders never punt down 21 with 3 minutes left, regardless of field position. Someone should email Les Jimmy V's speech. Other than that I don't have a problem with Miles overall, even though I do believe Lee should have gotten a series, if nothing else to calm JJ down in the NCG

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate yourself as a person? I'm guessing a low of 9.

This could be one of the most self serving, pompous, and elitist threads ever started on the Rant.
Elitist? Hardly. We let anyone come in and make fun of the prick.

Gosh, for 2 seasons we have had post after post bitching bout QB play and yet we win the SEC, go undefeated in SEC play and undefeated in the regular season for the 1st time since 61 even with subpar QB play and you think the staff didn't get what was going on with out QBs???
And BTW, the "dynamics of the QB situation" didn't cause Bama to beat us, but Bama stuffing our rush game, 39 yds, while we gave up almost 400 yds of offense to Bama did.
Bama beat us...their 11 lined up against our 11 and their 11 stuffed ours.
If you want to think putting Lee in , would have changed anything...go ahead, but nothing I have seen in the last 4 seasons of play lead me to believe it would.

Not trying to be self serving or pompous or elitist. Sorry I came across that way. Just trying to point out some things from a different perspective.
People in a chat room who think they know better than and care more about this program than Coach Miles is what seems to me to be the pinnacle of self serving, pompous and elitist behavior.

And , sometimes leaders are blinded by reasons no one ca explain and make terrible decisions costing their organization dearly. Those leaders are usually held accountable

I don't really care what most of you think because you're behaving like whiners and generally low-rent people. Get over yourselves.

Does a good leader result to name calling "whiners" and generally "low-rent people". Since you stated your are a leader a little self-assessment of how you feel about people underneath you having an opinion other than yours, might do you some good.

Leaders must never quit-which is what Miles did.

We know what we saw! A coach who quit on his team!
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:14 am to Ole War Skule
Saban didn't quit! Those calls Miles were making weren't simply bad, they were acts of surrender.
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:17 am to kevg33
Yea like Miles didn't do anything to deserve the heat he is getting!
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:17 am to bleedpg
Yes, why should anyone care about a national title, why all the fuss?
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:20 am to Tegre
Miles didn't have the team prepared, didn't switch quarterbacks when it was clear that JJ wasn't going to get it done, didn't attempt to throw it downfield, ruined an excellent season by losing in disgrace.
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:21 am to TigerWoody
He could explain why he decided to quit.
Posted on 1/13/12 at 3:23 am to Springlake Tiger
If Miles didn't quit on Monday night no one would be upset. We can accept losing, but quitting is unacceptable. Those young men played their hearts out for him and he sold them out.
