Last couple of years LSU baseball would have lost this game...

And most on this board would have chalked it up to a “midweek game” and it didn’t really matter much. Our Tigers fought back against NS this afternoon and walked it off....BOOM!!! Let’s GEAUX!

Midweek games don't really matter if you do well in the SEC. So, the point of saying that is that freaking out over losing them early in the season is silly. It's especially silly considering that Mainieri is known for having his teams usually playing their best at the end of the season.
That said, we would all rather win them.

Win or lose but I always felt that midweek games establish a team's identity. If they show no desire to win those games then they don't have what it takes mentally at the end of the season. Just my opinion.

Seems to me our pitching staff is more stable this year with more depth and overall game to game pitching is consistent.
Helps winning the mid week game with stronger pitching staff. Getting past super regionals is about pitching and hitting and this team looks promising.
