and quit all those other shenanigans. He did not do that as a Freshman. He seems too worried about being pretty than just going out and shoving it someones butt. Poche just pitches. No wasted time. No added items in his day.

What else is he doing? Is he running concessions between innings? Coaching third? Prey tell, what else is that Martha Focker doing?

I think he's alluding to the article written on his pregame ritual

You gut that Lange? Team Purple from the internet wants you to stop being pretty and instead shove stuff up people's butt. See what you can do about that plz..

If you're pretty then you probably have a better chance of shoving it in someone's butt IMO FWIW.

Lange's wasting time? His pace of pitching is exceptionally fast

This is stupid

I understand your frustration and share it. I wish the solution were as simple as you imply but i'm sorry to say it's not. while i'm not close enough to the situation to know for sure what his issue(s) is, I can also speculate. in his freshman season, and I noticed this at the time, his out pitch was a monster curve ball that fooled the hitters and they struck out often on THAT pitch. well, there is now a "book" on Lange and the opposing coaches and players have, for the most part, adjusted. they are laying off the damn pitch. how? well, good hitters work on recognizing the curve ball out of the pitchers hand. now it is time for Lange to make his adjustment. that's baseball.

yes, he is struggling without his out pitch. imo, he now has to rely more on his fastball and it just isn't as awesome and he's giving up hits. the main reason is he is struggling with location; he is trying to hit the corners and just isn't doing it enough. when he misses, they get a hit.

imo, this is what happens when you don't have a quality change up and this pitch takes years to learn. the change up looks like a fastball when it leaves the pitchers hand so it is not identifyable like a curve ball.

w/o a quality change up his draft stock will go down BUT if a minor league coach can teach him that pitch (more than one kind actually) he can be dominant again.

in short, imo, Lange needs another pitch to regain his dominance. why in the hell he hasn't learned the change up beats the hell out of me.

He had one rough outing so far this season.....against the #1 team in the nation at that.

People need to step off the ledge and let the season play out.

If you can name me one pitcher who never had a bad game then point him out to me, so I can step on the ledge with you. We can hold hands and jump off the cliff together.

That was not my impression after watching his last outing. He seemed fidgety on the mound against TCU. I assumed it was a result of him not being comfortable for some reason. He was constantly fixing the dirt in front of the rubber, pulling at his pants, walking off the mound to rub the ball or clean his cleats. These are all normal things, but Lange seemed to do them almost every pitch last weekend.

This board never disappoints with the amount of posters who post what they know absolutely nothing about. It is 100% comedy at this point.
