He threw the ball before he was wide open. Still a great pass that hit him in stride.

right--you go through the hassle of going to the game and can't be bothered to actually stay to the end. i'm sure he'll make a great lawyer with that level of commitment and logistical genius.

Landry is one of the best football players, if not the best, to ever wear purple & gold...I'd take him in the 1st round if I needed a possession receiver...jmho

It was pretty cool to have them run that play to Dural.

After the completion on the out route to Jarvis earlier in the drive, I called for the exact play that resulted in the TD. The defense was bracketing Jarvis with the safety which is not the normal coverage for a slot WR. It left one on one coverage with Dural because Arkansas was sitting on stopping Jarvis. Anyone with a scouting report knows that Travin is one of the fastest players on the team. It was a pretty obvious way we needed to attack the defensive scheme Arkansas presented.

I know a lot of you won't believe this was the play I called for two plays prior, but there is nothing I can do to back it up other than explain what was a plainly obvious hole in the defense.

The fact that Jarvis saw it demanded we run that route combo is classic.

I don't know if Landry will be a first rounder, but if a team needs a possession receiver that catches everything, a beast on special teams and the ultimate team player and leader, they will not pass up on the Hands of Velcro.

I like that description of him in the earlier post about hands of Velcro. From now on when I hear or see that word I will think about that catch over the defender.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life,” Dural said. “Had to make a play.”

Please think of this quote the next time you think of criticizing one of these guys. They lay it on the line every game. They make mistakes sometimes but they ALWAYS play to win the game. You think a loss hurts the fans? Just think about how that kid would have felt if he'd dropped that ball. To most of the rantards it would have just been something else to complain about. To that 19 year old kid, it probably would have been the end of the world.
