I broke mt left ankle in early October HS ball, and it took 6-8 weeks to heal. It was sore and tender for 6 months, cast 6 weeks. I played on the basketball team that season but limped the whole season. They laughed at me, even the opposition fans in the stands that year. It took a calendar tear,12 months, before the soreness and tender to the touch slight pain went away. It was the next year's August practice before I didn't think about it and limp a little, 10 months total time for that.

That sucks for him. This kid just recovered from an acl tear. I hope he recovers 100%. He will be a great one.

He's a CFB player, not a mere mortal, and I don't mean that facetiously. You don't get where he is without being more focused and determined than the ordinary person. Plus, they'll have him doing all the PT he can stand.
