He’s still continuing to get that 40 man roster money rather than just the AAA money. Good for him.

He is a marginal player. He needs to get a real job.

He should continue to play as long as someone is willing to pay him.

People like you are the worst
Don’t get this. Let the kid continue to play and do what he loves to do. As long as someone is paying him to do it, go for it. Once this chapter is over it’s over.

He needs to be somewhere he can play daily so he will be ready when an opportunity comes up.

That’s what AAA is.

Back where he started the season. I was hoping he would get called up by the Braves when Albies went down.
Good luck to him where ever he winds up.

Uhhh he’s paid to play baseball. At the literal 2nd highest level possible.
What “real job” do you have and is it at the highest possible level that exists?

Is ‘marginal MLB player’ not a ‘real job’???

He's making 700k as long as he's on the 40 man and he's 27.
I'd ride that shite all day and night

And, if he is on a Major League roster for 40 something days (not games) he qualifies for a pension.

For every 43 days of service, players will earn 1/40 of the pension. So they’d receive roughly $5700. It’s not until after ten years of playing that they’d qualify for the entire amount.

Confused…thought he was drafted by the St L Cardinals and developed well in their farm system. He was called to the Majors, albeit for just a couple of days earlier this season. How did he end up with the Mets, then waived? Strange set of events.
