College fans are funny.
They always assume that if the 4* recruit from 3 years ago hasn't started and blown the world up, then the new 4* recruit is some certainty to replace him and be great.
For example, I've seen nothing to indicate that Trey Quinn is a big loss for us. But, at the same time, he was a top 100 recruit meaning he was as "great" on signing day as anyone we got this year.
Bottom line is, ideally, you'd like to think your recruit with X stars three years ago should be a better COLLEGE player than a recruit with the same basic level of stars this year.
Otherwise, what the frick really?
