I was skeptical of him stepping in a few years back, but he has come a long way and Hs coaching chops now.

The X factor is his ability to sell/recruit elite talent. That’s where his pedigree becomes worth its weight in gold.

I can tell you personally he would have his guys playing their absolute hearts out as well.

It makes sense. His boxes are checked.

It’s time.

For the 10,000th time, does he even want to be a college position coach?

As an analyst, not a position coach.

It's also a lot more work, and he doesn't need the money

Of course he doesn’t need the money.......kinda the point.

And, if you think he’s afraid of the time investment, you don’t know him. He will DESIRE it.

His recruiting skills are far deeper than your lay persons perspective.

His skills at recruiting began with his playing days and particularly his role as NFLPA President.

See, Lester, you fancy your insight on these things. I know more than you.

any thoughts/ insight on Ben Wilkerson? he's been in the NFL for the last 5 or so years as an Asst OL coach (currently with the Giants).

Would he want to work for Coach O?

I wonder if O's ego would let him consider Mawae for the job. I know Miles' ego certainly didn't want Mawae around.

Didnt know analyst were allowed to recruit....

He is the former NFLPA president, and an NFL hall of famer. He has played multiple different positions on the line and is an excellent motivator and speaker. That alone should highlight his potential recruiting ability

But, to go further, he had a brother who took the dark road in life. Getting into drugs and crime. And Kevin fought that path and tried to save his brother. He can also go into homes and sell that to parents as well.
