Anyone think he starts against Miami? He looks like a hard hittin jammer at the line seems like he seeks contact thoughts?

Wish he would’ve been here for the spring..pretty tough to grab a starting spot in less than a month in pads

Barring mass injury, the only chance Kelvin Joseph has at starting is on Special Teams or as a #4 corner.

Mass injury? We have 4 eligible scholarship corners. He'll likely pass up Mannie Netherly when he's on campus. He's 1 injury away from being a starter.

We have 5 including Alexander. Joseph is 0 injuries away from working his way into a top 4 CB, but multiple injuries away from becoming a starting Safety.

He has a strong chance to start if he's that good enough. He has a strong enough chance just like the transfer from Stanford.

You just never know. I certainly feel he is a better looking prospect coming out of high school than Jalen Mills was - but Mills started from the get-go.

So many things play into this that fans have no insight on: maturity, attitude, ability to learn, willingness to learn, etc.

*Probably* not by Game 1. The starters will likely be Williams and Vincent, backed up by Kirklin and Alexander. Vincent will probably slide over to nickel when Kirklin/Alexander comes in. Harris will also play some nickel in more of a blitzing role.

Joseph could certainly work his way into the lineup though. Lots to like about his potential.

He couldn't play at Stanford, I wouldn't count on him in the SEC.

Joseph will be at worst the #3 corner for the opener imo.
