It was nice to see them both get a few looks against Rice. And felt bad for Chase when he was so close to scoring.

Better late than never for one of them break out with a big game this week. Hopefully they'll be targeted more.

Sad to see so much young talent not utilized this year. No scores for Marshall and only 2 TDs for Chase. Here's a reminder of his first one.

Chase and Marshall are LSU's 2 most reliable WR's. Jefferson screwed the pooch last Saturday. He looked like a High School JV wideout - at best. Gawd awful.

Absolutely no excuse for not targeting them more this year with all their talent. And when I think of the abundance of drops this year, these 2 do not come to mind.

Jefferson is responsible for 25% of all the receptions this year, so either he’s getting open more than anyone or Burrow is forcing balls to him.

I think it's a little bit of both.

Or coach E is sending in plays that make JJ the probable target.

I wonder why he would do that?

Terrace had two nice slant routes as well as a hitch from Myles.

I really hope he gets his first TD against Aggy considering they thought they had him locked up

Why would we throw to a German Shepard and a fireman during games?

Thanks for the clarification. Thought it was some cryptic message.

Don’t forget Dee Anderson lurking. Him and Sullivan should get jump ball attempts whenever Burrow needs to chuck one.

After watching all the the games, Jefferson gets open way more then the other WRs. He obviously knows how to run routes and get some separation.

They need to throw more longer passes to Sullivan though. Even when covered, he is so tall and is good at just going up and getting it. They don't do it nearly enough.

They could actually do this with Sullivan, Chase, Marshall or Dee Anderson.

that can't be overlooked. I think the other poster is correct- it's a little bit of both. The reason why is Burrow trusts Jefferswag to fight for the ball and the timing is there with him, he's where Burrow expects him to be and he doesn't have to search for him.

other notes:
- Chase has been super productive. Notice there's often some space between him and the defender (CB has to 'reach', not 'drape over him').

- Sullivan seems to get open outside the hashes, but not between the hashes. Maybe his route running in traffic needs work. For example, instead of avoiding defender, use them against each other by running close to the back of a LB to 'rub' the S/CB; if you try to avoid that LB, you veer closer to CB, creating less space.

- Haven't seen enough of Marshall to say if he's the same as Chase; I'd like to think he is.

- Dillon is hot & cold. I don't know why. If they figure out why we have a winner because when hot he's dangerous as hell. He should be motioning more often because I THINK, suspect really, he's susceptible to getting poor line releases.

I'm still under the assumption that we have not taught our WR's good/proper technique on catching the ball. Or they're retarded and cant learn. Way to many drops by nearly the entire "Starting" crew. The ones on the team have the droppsies, but the two freshman are legit. Something ain't right there

Jefferson had an off night. he's been money this year. Sullivan drops way too many, too often.

If we land Devonta lee then we better put him at safety. It will be tragic how much LSU can waste his talent at WR...
