According to PFF

Crazy this kid was so underrated as a recruit.

I atill think his recruiting ranking had to do with qualification issues

He didn’t qualify till June/July. He had measurables and a pedigree. If it wasn’t grades it was an egregious misevaluation.

Too bad he's on a worthless team with a clown at quarterback. He deserves to be on a winning team.

Losing Jefferson and Chase is a really big deal. We have a lot of talent at WR, but you don't lose 2/3 of your WR trio and not feel it.

I don't know - I think this was just a kid who didn't "look" the part out of HS. I remember reading LSU players on the team thought he was a walk-on the first day they saw him at practice.

We've seen plenty of grade-risks ranked highly, and plenty of 4/5 star grade risks being nationally recruited. Jefferson didn't get much attention outside of LSU from what I remember - just a diamond in the rough and guy that proved everyone 10000% wrong.

From everything I had read when he was a recruit, he was a great athlete who was really skinny and was having issues getting qualified so a lot of places backed off especially due to the Jefferson last name. Jefferson exemplifies what it means to be an athlete from Louisiana, he put his head down and went to work and developed a chip on his shoulder to be great. Props to Justin!

Kid could catch and run in HS. Only thing that changed is that he put on 30lbs of muscle. His lack of physique is why he fell below radar. LSU knee what he would grow into bc both of his older brothers did the same. Also, everyone who has been around their family /LSU will hell you that they all said he was the best athlete of all three since he was 10-12 years old.

Jefferson was the best WR at LSU’s biggest camp. He was under recruited because of grades.

It was grades. Took a tremendous amount of work to get him qualified. But even if his grades had been fine I still don’t think he’d have been rated very highly. He didn’t test well in high school, ran a 4.88 at one point, and didn’t put up totally crazy numbers at Destrehan. Probably would’ve been a low 300s to mid 400s type recruit. The amount of effort this kid has put in to make himself so great is astounding.

In one article or video I saw closer to draft time, they said he was so lightly recruited because he was obviously going to LSU if he qualified. So while he was skinny, his skills weren’t actually as undervalued as the lack of interest would usually indicate.

Also, recruiting services give bumps up or down based on a players offer list.

Yeah still, being 76 in Louisiana is crazy

I doubt most evaluators can actually name 50 LA recruits and he was below guys who didn’t play anywhere.

I an Seeing he signed with us in August. I guess They thought there was a 0% chance he would qualify.

PFF is a load of shite.

I think Jefferson is one of the best rookies in the league so far, and I don't watch enough NFL to know if he has performed the best out of all the other wide receivers up to this point, but I don't need PFF to come to that conclusion.

This, he had 1000 yards and 9 TD his senior season, he wasn't unnoticed by any means, just nobody thought he would qualify and why he was such a late addition to the class because it happened that summer before his freshman season when finally got eligible.

If there werent so many grade concerns he was at minimum a high 3-star talent in high school if not easy low 4-star.

Kind of hard to take your point that PFF sucks seriously when you don’t watch the NFL enough to have your own opinion

If I'm not mistaken, there were multiple videos of this tiny looking WR at that camp putting all the DB's on skates. I'm pretty sure that was him
