All 18 of Jefferson’s targets vs Oklahoma came when guarded by a safety or linebacker.

That’s why they moved him into the slot this season: to take advantage of those mismatches.

He’s now first in the nation in TDs and third in yards.

Good move.

Not bad for a 3-star and the lowest rated player in LSU's 2017 recruiting class. The 2,164th rated player in the nation, 308th WR and 76th best player in Louisiana that year.

Way to go recruiting services. I think I will sign up and start giving you my money. You hit the mark on this one.

Most underrated, underappreciated (not by LSU fans) and disrespected player in the nation.

Aren't Jefferson and Chase tied at 18 TD each? LSU has the 1 and 2 TD receivers in the country, and QB with the most passing TD at 55. Next best if 48.

Go back 3 years and say that, everybody in the country would call you insane.

Jefferson was ranked so lowly because many didn’t think he would qualify. It wasn’t based on athletic ability. That’s also why he was so late on signing in his class.

The rankings take into account whether or not they think a kid will play at a big time school. For a while there, it looked like Justin wouldn’t.

I heard this ,and remember that being said early in his recruitment when he dominated at our camp, and Alabama’s. What I don’t understand, is how does a kid with Academic issues get offered by NorthWestern?
