They will give it to Justin Herbert. He's at 2700 passing, 22 TDs and another 3 TDs rushing now in only 9 games.

Jefferson with a crunch time drop. Wide open and gagged.

Just like last year. Jefferson was best on field but did not get accolades.

Herbert didn't inherit a dumpster fire. I don't watch the NFL anymore, but looking at the stats and knowing what each QB had to work with going in, I think Burrow had clearly distinguished himself. It's unfortunate he's been robbed by an injury.

Herbert is playing lights out at the most difficult and important position on the field.

I love me some Jets Jefferson tho!

I stopped watching THIS year. I know full well what each team was handing off to their rookie QB's.

Don't give me your "unqualified" BS. It's beyond lazy and lame.

The league changes year to year drastically.

It’s like giving a movie review to a movie you haven’t seen.

Unqualified

You're not actually arguing from a place of logic. You're just telling lazy one liners. Have you seen the Chargers offensive roster? Have you seen their offensive line? Ok... Now, stay with me here... Compare that to the Bengals offensive line and "skill players". Instead of trying to argue by what you think I don't know, why don't you try to tell me how I'm wrong based on what YOU know? Can you do that?

I'll hang up and listen, as they say.

I’m not gonna argue with a guy who admitted he doesn’t watch the games.

You’ll also notice I havent actually disagreed with what you posted. Simply stated you have no ability to give any opinion on the situation because you don’t watch it.

LINK

Justin Herbert has a higher pressure rate than Joe Burrow

Allen > Green
Williams < Boyd
Henry < Higgins
SD RB < Mixon

You’re just trying to protect a millionaire because he played for LSU. He doesn’t need you to fight his battles online

Then why are you arguing?

Apparently I DO have the ability, because you just admitted you didn't actually disagree. You're just offended that I don't watch the NFL anymore. Which I find fascinating. Tell me... What is it about people who don't watch your favorite sport with you that threatens you? To the point that it bothers you?

I said I well knew what each team had going into the season. And I've seen the stats. I have an interest in what LSU players do, because it matters on a couple of different levels. I can see how players are performing for each team by simple recaps and reviews of statistics. I know how the offensive lines grade out, and who is running for his life in the pocket. There are lots of ways of knowing what's going on without watching the games this year.

I know a lot about football. I'm more than qualified to give my opinion. You're not qualified to invalidate anyone else's opinion. Chew on that one for a while.

re: Justin Jefferson Continues To Be A Monster

Here's where it pays to think past the end of your nose when looking at stats. Stats are only useful when used in proper context.

Joe averages less time in the pocket than Herbert. What does that translate to? Having to get rid of the ball quicker. So why does Herbert have a higher pressure rate? There can be only one explanation: Herbert is holding the ball too long. Joe's getting it out quicker. But that makes it harder to survey the field, does it not? Hence why Joe has the higher hill to climb with his line.

quote:

Allen > Green
Williams < Boyd
Henry < Higgins
SD RB < Mixon

You're comparing the wrong players to try to show an advantage for the Bengals. Compare Allen to Boyd. That's a wash. Compare Higgins to Williams, there isn't much difference. Williams had over 1,000 yards last year and averaged over 20 yards per catch, and is on a similar pace this year. Higgins gets more targets and has more yards so far this year, but isn't as explosive. Compare Henry to Green, at this stage of Green's career, and it's a wash. Henry has been more productive in the past, while we know that Green is over the hill. Joe Mixon has the name recognition, but he's only played 6 games and was just averaging 3.6 yards per carry. Can't run without an O-line. San Diego averages more yards per rush.

All in all, it comes down to the offensive line play, where Joe had no time, and San Diego having better depth players to give them options. That was a good offensive team last year, and they only lost Gordon, who was outplayed by Ekeler, anyway. I know Ekeler is hurt now but, again, San Diego has better depth at that position.

Frankly, that Cincinnati has offensive stats comparable to San Diego this year proves my point about Burrow. But his team is still too bad to win with. I don't know why San Diego isn't at least a .500 team.
