How refreshing to see a vibrant offensive scheme.

Tennessee had us beat badly in the talent department. Fulmer/Chavis completely shite the bed that night.

The best part about that game was the same boring play worked over and over again.

Great example of how coaching and schemes can overcome talent gap.

As it was said about the Bear...he can take his’n and bear your’n, or he can take your’n and beat his’n.

it felt that way at the time, moreso in the earlier game that year that we lost to them. but we had a really talented team that year, even if the defense hadn't quite figured itself out yet and the staff was still figuring out where some of the young guys (CWeb, Spears) should play.

yup. favorite Vol whipping boy Randy Sanders too.

I couldn’t believe that the team I watched throw all day on helpless defenses was now having success with a freaking QB draw out of a shotgun. Total credit here goes to (LSU offensive coordinator) Jimbo Fisher who completely changed course in the middle of the game and got the team to buy into the play calling.

from an oral perspective of the game, some good quotes from players, coaches, and fans in there.

Jimbo let FSU in far worse shape that it was given to him. no super QB Jimbo sux. Had flynn started in 2005-2006 at least 1 more SEC Title and likley 1 more NC.

This is beyond conjecture. Completing almost 6% less passes would somehow produce better results?
Appreciate Flynn, but you do realize JJ had a better career comp%?

It's almost like you need to adjust your scheme based on the talent of your players.

lol no

here's the thing though: the guys seems to always have at least good QBs. most of the top career and single season QB performances at LSU were from guys Jimbo developed (Ro, Mauck, Jamarcus, and Flynn), and then he went to FSU and cranked out a couple more 1st round picks, and a Heisman winner. hell, he left another good one at FSU, even if he didn't leave anyone to block for him.

BINGO, jimbo is the best QB developer in the nation, we all have watched games and seen it and Jake coker confirmed it

Jake coker alone knows more than this clown ignorant poster we are referring to.

Watching 2005, 2006 and 2007 offense is hard to do. Les was so creative. Pick 6 season broke him.

just a reminder that Saban took a team that went 3-8 two seasons previously and won the damn SEC title.
