turns out the best fit for the job.
he is passionate about everything LSU and the state of Louisiana.
the players, the fans, recruiting and that includes recruits that chose to go somewhere else.
ie: Auburn players after the Tiger win.
he lives for everything LSU and loves his job.

People did not want O hired. Once it was done, no one wanted him fired before he got his chance to show what he could do. Your claim is absolutely false.
My favorite part is that only an AD as incompetent as Joe Alleva would have made the hire back then. O was a career assistant who failed epically as a HC. It would have either taken an AD with massive stones, or a fool. Ended up being one of the best hires in football history.
