Good coordinator, acknowledged as a "brilliant football mind" by a lot of smart coaches. Not a good head coach.

As I mentioned last night, Oregon is about to go "all in" for PJ Fleck. Fleck seems like he'll be a good fit up there, too.
I know the good ol' boy connection(O/Kiffin/Sarkisian) but they need to give this some serious consideration.

Kiffin and Sark are primarily charismatic recruiters who ran other people's offenses.

Helfrich may be a more long term investment than Kiffin.

Helfrich would be crazy good here as a play caller, although he is not as good at developing QB's.
