I mean, somebody is getting one on one and someone is likely wide open every route. Just sucks we didn’t get to see it. When you sit down and think about it, we got 1 year out of Chase and with Marshall’s injury and opt out, a little more than a year out of him. That sucks considering they could very well be 2 of the best we have ever had.

This is sort of a stupid take.

There is only one QB and one football each play. If all three were open, only one gets the ball.

LSU scored plenty of points for 2020.. the defense is what you need to be asking yourself.

You’re right, throwing to Kirklin, Palmer, Jaray is the same as having Chase out there?!?!

I think Boutee shined Bc Chase and Marshall were gone...he learned from them, but shined Bc he was the #1 option

Exactly, defense was the problem.

We could have had Burrow, chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, and any receivers and still have lost multiple games.

No shite, this post isn’t about that. It was about seeing those 3 WRs out there. All proved they were number 1 WRs at some point.

I don’t understand all of the downvotes, he’s allowed to speculate, had Chase stayed and Orgeron hired the right DC and started the right backup QB, LSU would have had a totally different season.

In actuality, we had all number ones last year.

No, this actual roster had Chase, Marshall, and Boutte. Not some pipe-dream offense, the offense that should have lined up for us this year.

Chase, Marshall, Boutte, Gilbert...with TDP. That's a good looking Offense. I'd start Max(for mobility).

Marshall, Jefferson and Chase + Moss .... and a very good receiving RB like Clyde was pretty decent I say.

All shite aside that’s as good as it gets. When one of those cats wasn’t in you had legitimate players like Racey and Sullivan getting in there.

Fun times.

My little sister could have gotten 600 yds receiving against the defenses this year tbh

No different from Chase, Marshall and Jefferson!

You do realize that Jefferson just got picked to go to the pro-bowl right you big moron?

Jefferson had the best season of all WR’s in the draft last year, on top of his last year at LSU.

More accurately, ol was the problem. If you can’t run when you need to and can’t protect the qb, it doesn’t matter who’s at the skill positions.

Defense was a problem as well, but when discussing the offense, the issue was the ol.

You realize I’m the one who told people about JJ on this board. I knew when he signed, I attended the LSU camps where he embarrassed people, I knew about his route running ability. Alma mater of my high school, I know a lot of people there still and could get any info you need to know about any St Charles parish player.

2019 was the best offense of all time and 2020 had the pieces to be a great offense too. Still did pretty well, but without the best wr on our roster.

Also, JJ was never underrated, but rather under evaluated because he was all LSU once he was eligible. He was making incredible catches and running great routes in high school the whole time on one of the best offenses in the state.
