I have been saying this, but when you do, you get called a moron, not a fan, etc.

Has to do with the person making the observation. You are constantly criticizing lsu in many different aspects. You have always been like that, so no one takes you serious. The OLINE looked awesome last week, now today we are in trouble. It's the knee jerk reactions that people seem to overlook. I hope the center sits out next week, and then a week off, before playing bama....get back healthy and the line will be fine. As for the D-line. I heard all week how Monty would dominate this game, etc. etc, .....I hardly noticed him yesterday. And maybe tm7 will shut his mouth now and just play football. People that compare one game to a game that hasn't happened are just ignorant. There is no way to compare the performance of lsu or bama right now based upon how they play against tenn and ole miss.....come nov5th, the intensity level, focus, and effort will be all out.....it will be a great game.

And it's a shame that every criticism of JJ calls out the hordes to defend him. There's a whole thread of people criticizing Ford's pass blocking, so what? JJ threw several terrible passes yesterday. Ran the ball well. JL had a couple of bad throws yesterday, then some good ones. No one is trying to sell him as a "dual threat QB", like they are with JJ. He threw well and was decisive last week, this week, hesitant, stared down one receiver, and threw late, and poorly. In other words, looked like 2010.

Why does the truth always butthurt some people. Do we need a screen shot by screen shot analysis like we had of JL after the Oregon game? It was one (accurate) statement made in a lengthy summary of someone that attended the game. It reminds me of the outrage JJ's supporters show when someone dares to post our passing rankings from the past two years. It is what it is. Get over it. He is bringing a change of pace to the game, the overall offense functions much better with JL.

O Line will have to step it up to have any chance with Bama and the Pigs.

the thing that concerns me hte most is can our DL put pressure on ALABAMA's Qb..I dont see our DL having that much sacks this year. What do you guys think

I believe lsu has more sacks than bama...could be wrong.

How many yards did he gain keeping the ball?
Did he score any TD's?

You do understand that Bama won't be running out Tenn's exhausted D in the 2nd half of that game? Also, I didn't question the results from yesterday but said that, IMO, he won't be able to keep it on every option vs. Bama and be productive.

No resting is needed, the team needs to work harder than ever for the next 2 weeks to keep up the 4th quarter strengths we have seen so far.

To me, it appeared JJ was saying "being a backup is BS"

these kind of posts always let me know that we are dealing with a bandwagon fan that doesn't know much about football. To have a chance? LOL.....I think LSU has a chance dumbass. You make it sound like the only chance they have is to play over thier heads. I would say the same thing about bama and arky. Perhaps you didn't know that arky gives up about 300 yards a game on the ground.

Random Thoughts:

-the width of the seats are not the issue, it is the knee space; and i was stuck in the middle of the row
-sat in upper deck, left side of my face is burnt
-tennessee fans are apathetic
-stadium is not loud, my 3rd time there, and it never gets loud
-knoxville isn't that nice considering it is so close to the smokies
-lsu didn't play great, but still won with ease

Glad you enjoyed the game and made it home safe, everything you said is right on and couldnt agree with you any more. I guess every one is due a subpar game but I agree TM7 did make a couple of bad plays IMO.

+10000

but you will always have these guys defending JJ as if he can actually throw. They all say he improved greatly. I still see the same thing. If our WR is wide open he can usually make a good pass. But, he waits to late, stares down a rec, and is terrible at timing routes....so, if he is qb and our rec's are wide open.....then he will have a great day passing (ole miss last year)...but if rec's covered (one of the many <100 yards passing days)last year. He is the same.

And in your opinoin that is somehow worse than hordes of people criticising him?
Exactly how? How are their attacks more intelligent than those that choose not to attack him?

It is what it is.

Apparently that is not enough for some people.
JJ's running adds another element to the LSU offense. A fact that should be welcomed. It is not a zero sum situation. JJ's talents in no way diminish JL's as JL's talents in no way diminish JJ's.

"JJ appeared athletic. Fast. Strong. But missed a couple of big gainers not handing-off to Shep"
Even in his praise of JJ there was criticism. Not very even handed was it? I am assuming that every thing Jee did was perfect since no similar criticism of him was offered.

And that is my point.

That may be an unconfirmed rumor. I'll wait to see the tape before I comment.

Why were Lee and Ware in the game to start a drive with less than 8 min to go in a blowout? That would have been a great time to get Mett and the younger RBs some playing time.

Exactly. One would think you would want to give these boys some rest and the others some playing time. What we don't need is a situation simular to Lattimore at SC.

Agree Lee is the go to guy- he has proved that all year long! Did so yesterday as well. JJ needs to watch not be put in after Lee gets us inside the 10.

My thoughts...

Nice stadium. It was loud, but not LOUD.

Couldn't wait for the shadow to reach me...I was cookin until halftime.

Tennessee fans were nice. Before the game, most were just saying "Hope you guys take it easy on us". What a bunch of pussies!

One arsehat after the game, we were walking down the strip, gets right in my 9 YEAR OLD SON'S face and says "#2 AT BEST...ROLL TIDE". My son said "scoreboard". Other than that, didn't run into any jackarses.

OL looked pedestrian...agree.

DL looked to be overpursuing all day.

Simon can't catch worth shite.

TM7 off game...but I don't know if Da'Rick got anything...

Regarding JJ/JL. JJ ran the ball well when he was in. When one of the drives stalled with 3rd and long, JL came in and threw a strike on a timing route to RR2. First down. I actually was thinking at first that they were setting up future teams, by making it look like JJ won't ever throw, then turn him loose against Bama who wouldn't be expecting it. After watching a couple of his throws though, looks like they know what they're doing letting him run and not throw.

Doc Severenson looks like he's 121 years old.

I parked close to 129 Clark Griswold style, and walked the 3/4 mile to the stadium. When the game was over, me and little me booked it to the truck, got out quickly, and was back at the camper within 15 minutes. (I'm temporarily working here in Knoxville and staying in my RV near Alcoa)

We just won the perfect 'trap game' by 31 pts. No complaints.

JJ has made awful throws for years. The exception is for JJ to make a great throw.
Very predictable offense when JJ is in the game = run.

There was a great aerial view of the stadium late on the broadcast- before the RS score - there was maybe 20k left in the stadium and all the ramps were full of orange.
7:45 left in the 4th quarter, the stadium was pretty vacant with the exception of the LSU fans in the Upper deck and the group behind the band.

BTW ... props to the fans that were taunting the vendor selling hot dogs with "we want corn dogs"
