So, do people think Ed will pitch? He has a relationship with JT, he has stated that he will always pursue personal that will help LSU win.

It would be an interesting QB battle. It would certainly push Myles along.

He has 3 years of eligibility after his injury last season.

You won't find Coacb O lightening much of anything I don't believe.

Daniels was the #1 QB in the class of 2019 before he reclassified to the 2018 class were he was the #3 QB recruit behind Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. He’s a legitimate 5 star talent. It’s not lightning in a bottle. He’ll have 3 years of eligibility remaining too. It’s the kind of transfer you save 2 spots in your class to have an opportunity to go get.

Was just coming here to post this.

I think with O’s USC connection and having recruited the kid, I definitely think he makes a pitch. And he SHOULD.

There’s some weird love infatuation on this board for Brennan whose never done anything or proven that he is even decent, so you won’t find much support on the board.

But yea, JT Daniels is obviously the much better player and would help the team be better

That's unknown but I have no problem with us pursuing him to add some competition.

Daniels got passed up at USC.......he turned out NOT to be the “cant miss 5 star”. I do think he will be a stud with development, but I’ll promise anyone on this board he won’t show up at LSU and beat out Myles Brennan.

Started as a true freshman then he got hurt in the 2nd quarter of game 1 and missed all last season. Meanwhile his eventually replacement Slovis was one of the better QB’s in college football last season. It’s kind of how the Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm situation played out at Georgia. Eason is and was the better QB but UGA couldn’t really just bench Fromm after he led them to a national title game. Then Georgia made another mistake by playing Fromm over Fields.

Rehabbed and still decided to transfer. He was dubbed the USC Savior......yet the writing seems to be on the wall.

He’s not a day 1 starter at LSU with Myles Brennan here, Period.

But he might be a damn good/great backup and future starter to push Max/TJ/Nuss...ect

LSU and Orgeron should most definitely make a pitch to JT Daniels. A 5 star QB, awaiting transfer with 3 years of eligibility left, sounds like someone who could flourish in LSU’s new offense.

Feelings will be hurt. I like Myles Brennan, and if he’s worth his salt, after sitting behind and studying with Burrow for 2 years, then he should have no problem beating JT, Max, Finley or any QB that comes along — but if he’s not or he’s afraid of the competition, then he wouldn’t have the gumption to go into Tuscaloosa or Gainesville and come out with a “W”. Simple as that

I remember all the butt hurt “fans” on here that loved McMillian, and Narcisse, and wanted to give them the reins over Burrow when he transferred.

Fact of the matter is. Who is going to help LSU football the most at QB. Who will be Alabama. Who will beat Auburn and Florida. Who has the grit

Most definitely go after JT. Don’t shy away because of loyalty to Brennan or anyone.

Having said all that, I’m a Brennan fan and would love to see him get pushed by JT and win the job. I don’t expect anyone to come in and take the job from Myles, I believe last season with Burrow and Brady proves wonders over any 5 star transfer.

But you still offer JT regardless

Lol some of you guys are delusional.

Sure Brennan MIGHT be good. I don’t think he’s anything special personally.

But JT Daniels was an elite 5 star prospect.

He got injured and the backup was young and played well so he’s keeping the job.

The team is obviously better with a better QB. JT Daniels is clear and away the better QB. Brennan couldn’t do anything to save his job if JT decided to come here. Elite 5 star prospect who has D1 experience and played well. No chance Brennan makes it.

I don’t get the blind love for Brennan?

And I don't get people that talk in "Absolutes"

1. Brennan has had 3 years to mature and fill out.

2. Brennan has been with this group of player's and has supposedly taken on a leadership role.

3. No one knows how much practice time anyone would have with the current covid circumstances.

4. No one knows for sure how things would work out not even JT; Myles; or the Coaching staff.

With all that said I have no problem with Coach O and the staff doing what they feel is best and if that is bringing in JT then let the best man win the job.

My opinion is that it is Not an absolute that JT would win the job immediately and maybe not until Myles leaves. Who knows.

You're ignorant if you think myles brennan isnt up to par with JT Daniel's. Look at their high school careers. Dont look at a star rating, that system has been proven over and over again to be flawed. Brennan didnt beat set all of the Mississippi high school football passing records and take park of the elite 11 and not be any good. Take it from Burrow, he said Myles can spin it! I'll take Joe's word over some keyboard warriors on this board
