Youtube: Late Kick vid
Has LSU ranked outside his top 10 programs in CFB. Has Utah, OU, USC, and Penn St above us. Okay Josh…

Let me do what he wants me to do and go to his YouTube page, driving up his views, and leave a nasty comment

So who does he have as top 10?

I believe the caveat was “based on the last three years.” Hard to argue 2020 and 2021 didn’t hurt the average.

Had it been based on just last year, I’m sure we’d be in.

Not a Top 10 program or not a Top 10 team for 2023?

Yes this was the time frame used, which no argument here, he's right in that sense, 2020 and 2021 bring us WAY down from Top 10 level.

That being said only going back 3 years including the covid year will skew the data a bit with how much a mess the covid season was.

I like Pate, but he's wrong on this one. Too much returning talent and depth and second season with staff mostly intact. This lines up really well for LSU if they don't slip up vs FSU in game one.

I saw that people were laughing about this on Twitter, but I have no idea who Josh Pate is, so it doesn’t seem worth even thinking twice about.

Utah, Penn at, usc & Oklahoma are weird to me.

Some of Utah losses last 2 years

- San Diego st
-Oregon st 7-6
- byu
-Florida (6-7)
-ucla 9-4

Usc is in in same spot lsu is in. Fired coach & ascending

Penn St hasn’t won the big 10 since 2016.

Their division (not conference) finish the last three seasons : 3rd-4th-3rd

Oklahoma coming off a 6-7 year with a first yr HC with no track record

What Pate said makes sense using his metrics

If you’re looking at just the last three years, 10-4 in year one of CBK combined with the last two years of O, doesn’t make LSU a top ten program nationally

Now of course LSU is top ten historically and is better than and would beat a couple of the teams he put in his top ten today.

Sure look at the record, but also looking at the recruiting during that period. We were top 6, and far above half of those programs in recruiting. I think his take is off and a stretch to say the least.

Well we’re not according to the criteria he used. Thank coach Shrimpboat for that.

I like Pate. I know he's not doing it for clicks, but he's simply wrong here, even with the metrics he uses. LSU has been a top-ten program since 2003.
