Cliffs:
Talked about NIL. Said when he showed up to LSU he had money in his pocket. A lot of players didn't have a pot to piss in and some were always asking him for stuff. He says NIL will most defiantly cause issues in the locker room. Some guys will make bank while others will still struggle and that is going to cause issues.
Said he thinks Max will be the starter. Based it on him being more mobile and physical. He said he talked to Rohan yesterday and Rohan thinks the same.

It’s a part of life. They will get over it

Fact. They'll form a union and try to split the pot. It will get ugly

I agree with the troubles but life is not about equity for all. As for a starter he is allowed his opinion.

Tell that to modern day America.

Imagine if an OL gets pissed that Myles is getting all the Cane's and they get nada. Will they miss an assignment and let the pass rushers in? Myles better share that sauce!
jk, Max is going to be the starter.

Fwiw Booty played before players got like 3k a month from stipends. I think it's probably a little different now.

Who is the union gonna negotiate with to split the pot?

This may also push some guys who can only be motivated in the short term by dollars to work hard and show out so they can get NIL money while in college.

Yes, tell that to a solid veteran starter with no money coming in, with a highly regarded freshman behind him on the depth chart with money coming in that isn't ready to play

Over time this will work itself out and it will be non issue....

More than that, NIL is going to become a BIG part of recruiting. Many (not all) HS players are going to want to know how the school plans on getting them endorsement deals BEFORE they decide which school to attend.
5 and (upper 4) star talent are going to choose schools based upon promised endorsement deals that they get upon entering college...not after they have established themselves as college stars in demand of endorsements. And what will likely happen is rather than paying guys under the table (which has happened for decades) booster will start to funnel money earmarked for "endorsements" through companies. Where the players will have a BIG wakeup call is now that money will be out in the open and taxable, where as prior $100 cash handshakes were basically untraceable and untaxable.
For a few years at least you may very well see incoming freshman earning MORE than guys who were on the team before this summer. Just like in the NFL when vets had resentment/jealousy over highly drafted rookies (particularly QBs) earning significantly more money before playing a single NFL snap, you're likely to see the same in college.

Star skill players will have an advantage, especially the QB. Stud OL will not see the same money.

The other note JB made about the QB situation was that there is a belief that the staff wants to build with Max, but Myles is just in his last year.
Also when he was asked about O, he said he needs good coaches behind him. He is not an X and O guy and doesn't know offense. Great recruiter, great D Line coach, but needs smark folks behind him. (Much like many real business world leaders)

What?
A couple of weeks ago, Rohan was on with Culotta and said he believed Brennan will start and listed the reasons.

In every sport, certain players get paid way more, and everything works out just fine
