That's great, but it's not the NBA. Would had been nice to have him back in the PMAC this year

He's the missing link on this team. A rim protector on defense. He should have come back for one more year.

I said the same. Apparently he got 4mill though. No clue what is guaranteed of that, but if he got that then I don't blame him for taking it and running. He wouldn't have made more by staying I think.

he has a 5 million dollar contract

while not prestigious playing in the D League and he possibly could have improved that contract by staying, maybe even probably, but if he needed to assist his family, it's hard to argue that his decision has not paid off for him

Great for him. People here acting like his decision isn't justified because he isn't riding an NBA bench. He's getting PT and developing. Just like any baseball player. You people think Bregman made a bad decision because he isn't already starting for the Astros?

He got 2 years guaranteed.

He's actually making more than their first round pick

He actually got more than their first rounders because the 2nd round isn't subject to the same rules in terms of pay slot.

He ended up getting a guaranteed contract as a second rounder. He made the right choice. He never was gonna be more than a late 1st rounder anyway and the reason you want to be a first rounder is for the guaranteed contract. While yes it would have been cool to see him play on this team he is getting the same if not more development where he is.

He signed the largest contract ever for a second round pick.

Still, the No. 33 overall pick changed that narrative quickly after impressing the Celtics’ brass with a superb two weeks in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. The reward? Mickey signed the richest contract for a rookie second-round pick in NBA history. The deal is worth roughly $5 million over four years, with the first two years of the contract fully guaranteed, according to Basketball Insiders.

Wish he was busy winning SEC defensive player of the month. Congrats to him, though. Was fun to watch him as a Tiger.

The way our defense has played since Victor has been in makes me feel differently than I did earlier this year. I certainly thought we needed him, but now our guards are learning how to defend people trying to drive and our bigs are keeping opponents forwards out of the paint. I love our defense right now.

Agreed. Tigers would likely be undefeated and ranked in the top 5 had he or Martin returned.

Jordan Mickey is developing very nicely in the D-League, in fact he's developing much better with the Red Claws than if he was to stay another year at LSU.

Facts don't lie

^^^ I don't think Johnny Jones would've helped Jordan Mickey develop a three point shot, or consistent shot in general. I'm happy he's developing very nicely up in Maine and it's only a matter of time now before he gets a shot with the Celtics.

Your opinion. Many believe that a year playing alongside the #1 draft pick would have elevated his game, especially offensively. Beyond that, my comment was mostly on how much he could have helped the Tigers. I still wish him the best and hope to see him fulfill his dream.
