Jordan Jefferson is not ready

now do you all realize why Lee has stayed starting?
JJ does have all the tools, however
i just hope that JJ learns how to run the option. it's obvious it is not his strong suit. if he can harness his running and add it to his throwing ability, then he could be something special in a couple years

Obviously but I still think it benefits Lee to sit down for a bit

In a couple of years? I don't see how he'll eclipse Shep.

Miles knew about this as did most fans.
JJ won't be ready in a while.

I mean what a disaster that would have been in the Bama game to play him. I think he is a good athlete nonetheless and I look forward to seeing more from the kid.
I think the key with both of these guys is that they need to be used in the same series. In other words, they should each get their own series. That way if Lee gets in a rhythm, he can stay in there, but if we need a different dimension, JJ can come in.

I refuse to believe this. He did it in high school, watch the rivals film!

oh i'm not saying JJ shouldn't get PT
but he's not the savior people on here made him out to be. not yet
and lee isn't starting b/c of something weird...he's our best QB right now

He's not ready to be a full-time starter but after he ran the bootleg for a TD it set up the C.Scott run up the middle in the 4th. Their D had to be thinking JJ might run that dame bootleg again so it put them back on their heels for The Truck to go plowing through. Good change of pace.

He is where RP was his first year. Give him his 4 designed plays and bring him along slowly.

Putting him in the Bama game wouldn't have been a disaster if done appropriately. Given Lee's play, it was merited to at least give him some snaps. Would the three and out with JJ be any different than the 3 and out with Lee? No. It would've helped Lee by giving him a chance to view the defense from the sideline, much like Randall did at times in 2004.

well he was brought in to be a project, I would have preferred he got his RS but shite happens

as long as he plays, i don't care about losing the redshirt. but burning it to hand off set me off

Look..I know you really, really, really dislike Lee. You've said it in about 100 threads today.
But the simple fact is that with J Lee, he has the ability to make plays with his arm. Based on what I saw last night, JJ, at least not yet, doesn't have that same ability.
And if you don't agree with that, then we weren't watching the same game.

he won't run near as well as Sheppard, but let's see how well Sheppard throws in D1 football. We're likely to experience significant growing pains with him too. Stability at QB could be a couple of years away, unfortunately. Seems ridiculous people were bickering about Russell and Flynn and who was the better QB, when we were lucky as hell to have them both.

He'll be a good wr
No he won't, he's got no potential as a wr. He didn't even played wr in high school.

That's what I didn't understand. There's value to keeping his RS and there's value to using him to contribute.
There was no value to burning it for a couple of handoffs that some scrub could have made.

yea that was my issue...if we're going to burn it we should have just started getting him plenty of PT so it at least benefits us next year.

You didn't answer my question, but deflected from it. I know that JJ isn't the passing threat that Lee is, but when Lee's arm is doing nothing and we run 6 straight plays to avoid him getting an INT, what difference did it make to bring in JJ to run say, an option or read option or draw? Huh?
This isn't about Lee sucking. The kids got talent, and I've never seen a more hot and cold QB in my life, but like Randall, time on the sidelines might help him at least a little and give our offense a jolt.
That isn't too much to ask and isn't saying Lee will suck forever or isn't our best passing QB.

That and he is not fast enough to be a WR. Him being a WR is not under consideration IMO. Now Sheppard....
