He is on record saying he thinks LSU can be the best passing team in the country.

Source

He was pretty elite at Texas Tech which once again raises the question of what are they saying to get these guys to come to LSU when we consistently are the back of the pack in passing?

This extends to hauling in the best WRs in the country from high school. Are they just saying "Hey, you know OBJ and Jarvis, yeah they went here." Are they paying them money, etc?

I just don't understand how in not having a passing season over 2,400 yards in years and yet they keep getting these elite WRs.

Because LSU has prepared the receivers well for the NFL. Catching a million passes doesn't always mean that is the best situation for a receiver to get to the next level despite what the rant thinks.

LSU receivers are NFL ready regardless of how many yards and balls they caught.

I think he is incredibly naive to think LSU will ever be a top 5 passing attack, but I just don't understand how they keep flocking into BR. Possibly so much ego that they think they will be the one to come in and bring it to elite status.

Not to mention that all this has to happen against SEC defenses every week.

Because playing at LSU carries a lot of weight regardless of what you read on TD

Listen to the guy talk. He has always been a big LSU fan all his life since he was a kid. His family watched all of the LSU games on TV. Plus he knows all of the LSU heroes just like any long-time LSU fan.

Indeed, LSU was his dream school. The school he wanted to come to, but he wasn't offered because he was only a three star, so he ended up at Texas Tech.

Then he left after the Texas Tech coaches were deliberately pissing him off. That's when O called him to offer and he jumped at the chance to play for LSU. He loves LSU and couldn't be any happier.

Probably because LSU has had guys who never started drafted and have had decent NFL careers. LSU has also had 2nd and 3rd rounders become some of the best WRs in the NFL. LSU is doing something right and its extremly obvious.

The coaches need to put a spread sheet together comparing LSU to other SEC teams, with success, and longevity in the NFL in it. Then make posters to put around the school for all recruits to see. Separate LSU and highlight these positives.

I would also put up all the La recruits who left for bama and who successful they were within the program and once leaving as well. Let them know that leaving isn't always what is best for them and have the proof right there in front of them. Surely they could come up with all the positives and negetives while highlighting LSU of course.

Then add another with all the La boys who helped them win their championships.

I read another article that Giles said he watches Jarvis Landry's film almost daily to see how he played and tries to emulate his style. Watching Giles' film, he doesn't seem to be exceptionally fast or even agile. He does have good body control, hands and finds seams and open spots in the D. Jarvis probably is the best player for him to watch from a skill comparison.

You guys have no idea whats about to happen!!! I’ve seen the future by living through the past. Look at the receivers we have and the ones they brought in, look at the RBs on the roster. Look at the offensive coaches and analysts they have added on staff. Go watch a few minutes of practice... We are getting ready to throw the living crap out of the ball.. it’s like if we were preparing for battle and there were 1000 tanks out front I would presume we were about to battle on the ground but if you look out and there’s 1000 F-150 fighter jets on the tar mat I would presume we are about to take the battle to the air.. well gentlemen the Air Force has arrived in Baton Rouge... book it!!!!

nice Bayou - 100% agree - if he is a Jarvis I will be very happy - Jarvis is such a man over the middle

You do realize that making it to the NFL is more than just getting 2000 yards receiving in a shitty conference?

You've got to know how to do other things, shake defenders at the LOS, block, etc.

Say all ya want BUT LSU puts receivers into the League even with shitty QB's.

Exactly. Look at Tredwell. He racked up yards at Ole Miss. He can’t catch a cold now.
