Having Robinson on staff will help big time over the next month with his many years of coaching experience.
You gotta give Coach O credit for surrounding himself (LSU) with quality people.

I didn’t know what his exact title was. Thanks for pointing that out.

Absolutely. That’s where I short changed him when they hired him. I had no idea he was going to do such a great job filling his staff

He’s a legendary coach and man.

It’s amazing how bad O wants LSU to be successful. He always credits players and coaches! His job it to get the right ones.

Is it possible to let Marcus Allen run the ball a few times???

I'd say outside recruiting a HC at a P5 school two biggest jobs are:
1. coaching his coaches, making sure they are on same page, not complacent, working the team hard/soft enough to fit the plan, innovating, game planning as a team (not a D & O).
2. Knowing the pulse, mentally and physically, of the team.
(that's why 'have to be a coordinator' shouldn't be a requirement for HC).
I'd dare say even if Robinson sucked when he was HC, and he didn't, the volume of experience dealing with those two things is invaluable.
There are lots of HC's running around that can 'coach' but can't 'run a program'. The one's who can't run a program inevitably move from place to place, sometimes having great years early but always a decline later.

Interesting take, I also would agree with your assessment.

He looks like he still could. Dude looks 30 years old.
