I think John Emery is more explosive......he will be able to sneak through small creases (like Étienne did for his 2nd td against Bama.....that play worked because Étienne exploded through the hole before Q Williams could even think about getting to him)....

Welp. I guess Sanders then.

LSU will have a very good oline in 2019. Anthony Bradford is a beast and is ready to play significantly, and so is Kardell. That to go with the returning olinemen, LSU will have a much improved oline and 2 very good freshmen.

I think they will both do well, but when it looked like Emery was going to Georgia, and We looked to be Sanders front runner I was disappointed.I also think Davis will be a stud.Hope he comes in with a chip on his shoulder since Emery has gotten a lot of attention.

I haven't seen a highlight film nearly as insanely dominant as Fournette's. But Emery looks very good. Better than Guice coming out of HS IMO. And better than Sanders in that small sample size.
Either way.. He's going to be a huge upgrade from Brossette.

I disagree! The RB who has the best line probably puts up better numbers for the simple fact that offensive line talent matters in making holes to run through.

But that doesn’t necessarily make that back the best back.

Right. At this time, it appears Sanders will have a better line blocking for him.

But Emery should still be a top notch college RB.

Our offensive line problems have mostly been pass blocking on the outside. Our run blocking has been decent enough.

I hope you’re right, that scheme will fix our offense. It can surely improve it, but Bama’s linemen are simply better - much better.

I like that dude's videos.

Emery does look more explosive and his 40 and shuttle times are indicative of that. Emery has that extra gear 10-15 yards down the field that is beautiful to watch.

Sanders does looks more physical in terms of breaking a tackle a the LOS and carrying a couple of guys for an extra yard or so. But not by much.

Emery looks to operate much better in space.

Emery seems to have better downhill speed. He won't get caught from behind. Sanders will be caught from behind by some elite college DBs.

They definitely appeared to be last season. I believe that this is why having upperclassmen along the offensive line is so important. Up until about a month ago certain posters would argue you up and down that LSU was just as talented as any other team and more talented than most. Now those same posters are arguing that talent has been slipping along both lines for years. Well which is it? The truth is for a certain group here it's whatever they can use to bash the coaching staff.

LSU was forced to start people before they were ready last season. This season that group with another year in the weight room and another year to practice footwork and such should be much better than last year.

Quick passes can do nothing but help everyone on the offense.

I don’t know, but Emery will probably rush for 15 yards on 12 carries versus Bama, BECAUSE OUR LINE SUCKS

I think a lot of y’all are sleeping on Davis. Dude is going to get a lot of carries.
