Brody Miller in The Athletic

Rising sophomore John Emery is an uber-talented former top-10 recruit who has unbelievable upside. His future depends on his development in terms of discipline and knowing the playbook. Sources also said Emery had medical limitations that should be figured out before next fall.

Anybody know what medical limitations he is talking about? Started my rewatch of the season with the Ga Southern game, and Emery looks so good. I just assumed Burrow seriously lost confidence in him, since he would only come in with Brennen in the 2nd half of the season (which almost seemed a little personal). In Joe I Trust, but I’m still hoping for great things from Emery.

Really? That’s your answer? We don’t talk about player injuries or illnesses now? Man, I’ve been following football wrong.

You can always count on some white knight to virtue signal and bring nothing to a conversation. Pay him no mind

A medical issue would explain his absence in all honesty. He kind of fell off the grid.

What do you mean he fell of the grid? He didn't really play much meaningful action all season.

I’m guessing it’s not a sports related issue

If it’s no one’s business why did Brody mention it?

Who knows, he could have had VD, or mono, or something. The important thing is that it sounds like it will not be a factor for next season.

Maybe he has/had a medical issue but the biggest problem for him was immaturity and not taking care of business like waking up going to class, treatments, etc. Hopefully a year older and lack of PT this season will help him be more motivated going into next season.
