Quickness has nothing to do with long speed. Its about changing directions and moving laterally fast

No way he is this fast. If so he wouldn't have gotten caught from behind numerous times last season.

Hate to say it but do we have to go back to Cecil Collins for comparison? Ran a 4.41 at the combine.

This guy could have been a Bo Jackson type running back if not for injury and being a mental head case.

think it’s CEH honestly. He’s a quick guy.
He really isn’t. Just because he’s short doesn’t automatically make him quick

I think he’s gained a lot of weight since that timing.

He's only 206 lbs? He looks much bigger on film. He needs to gain some muscle weight.

No necessarily.. There is a difference between quick and fast.

Wait...really? I remember him getting run down in the UGA game last year and on his kickoff return against UCF. He hasn't struck me as a guy with top end speed.

For his long run against UGA, he stumbled breaking through the defense and was tackled by the shoelaces by Reed who runs a 4.5ish himself.

I think he’s gained more weight than LSU’s roster suggests. Probably in the 4.5s now.

Go back a few years before that. Slip Watkins ran a 4.3 coming out of high school and was a 6-time T&F All-American at LSU.

second the comment about Jeremy Hill. that dude had an uncanny ability to find a seam and dance step his way through despite his formidable frame. he had ridiculous vision and balance, which I always thought was LF7’s achilles heel (the balance, so to speak). it’s not rocket science that 40 speed is only a part of the story.

Joseph Addai 4.37 5-11 214 lbs (NFL COmbine)

ETA official time 4.40 listed at the NFL Combine. Got my original number from an article. For comparison purposes Reggie Bush ran 4.37
