Fournette had/has ridiculous top-end speed but needed some space to get going, hence why I'm asking about the "quickest" guy and not "fastest" since I think Fournette is one of, if not the fastest LSU RBs in recent memory while weighing 230+lbs

John Emery, 4.42 5'11 206lbs (The Opening)

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, 4.47 5'8 201 (The Opening)

Derrius Guice, 4.49 5'11 224lbs (NFL Combine)

Michael Ford, 4.50 5'9 210lbs (NFL Combine)

Leonard Fournette, 4.51 6'0 240lbs (NFL Combine)

Tyrion Davis-Price 4.53 6'0 227lbs (The Opening)

Spencer Ware, 4.62 5'10 228lbs (LSU Pro Day)

Nick Brossette, 4.62 5'11 209lbs (NFL Combine)

Alfred Blue, 4.63 6'2 223lbs (NFL Combine)

Terrence Magee, 4.65 5'8 213lbs (LSU Pro Day)

Jeremy Hill, 4.66 6'1 233lbs (NFL Combine)

Chris Curry, 4.68 5'11 200lbs (Anecdotal, 90% ankle)

Kenny Hilliard, 4.68 6'0 226lb (LSU Pro Day)

Darrel Williams, 4.72 6'0 229lbs (NFL Combine)

Miles loved slow plodding RB's

Stat predictions
Emery will be the 1000 yard back this year
Chase will get 1000 receiving
Burrow will throw for over 3000
Chaison should get to 10 sacks
tackle leader will be Phillips
Delpit may pick up as much hardware as Dorsey did
Stingley will be a stud

Tbh it was one of the few positions he got right consistently. Didn’t always play the right guy but his RBs were generally always All-SEC caliber

10 yard split times would help determine who’s the quickest. I remember Ford having some serious burst. It seemed like he would get to the edge way faster than anyone else.

Richard Murphy had some burst but was made of glass.

I think it’s CEH honestly. He’s a quick guy.

Only so much data available on every RB.

Just a note for comparison sake, the NFL Combine and The Opening are laser timed, LSU Pro Day is hand timed.

Like Keiland Williams, Richard Murphy, Alfred Blue, Michael Ford, Stevan Ridley, Jeremy Hill, Derrius Guice and Leonard Fournette?

There were definitely some mashers mixed in there but I don't think it's true that Miles had a tendency towards slower "plodding" backs.

Yeah, I see that. I was going to compile a list of split times but can find that information.

Just because Miles ran them straight into a stacked line doesn't make the slow and plodding.

I'd like to see him play in a game first...

Hate to say it but do we have to go back to Cecil Collins for comparison? Ran a 4.41 at the combine.

It's just a stupid comment. O would've recruited those same mashers because most of them were highly rated recruits from Louisiana. Same way Les would've recruited Emery.

If we are talking quickness, Guice and CEH are both very quick.

he played faster than that. pretty good indication you dont have to be a burner. I never remember Hill being caught from behind.

But nevertheless, it will be fun watching a RB with truly elite speed.
