He said O took a gamble offering him to come to LSU...

But he sure took a gamble on coming to LSU. YEARS of subpar QB play at LSU would have scared away other guys in his shoes.

O took a gamble, but so did Burrow.

Can't imagine a happier ending...wait, yes, I can...

Many Louisianians are broke as shite, too. I bet it was big for him to see Eddie George, Charles Woodson and Desmond in person. All Ohio/Ohio State royalty.

Joe had the look of “unfinished business” the whole ceremony. This season has led up to the most coveted of individual awards for him, but his eyes are on the national championship and 15-0.

The gamble was not needing Brennan last year and being able to redshirt him. Now, we can build depth at QB

Nope!
LSU was Joe’s best opportunity to start at a major P5 school.
O didn’t know if Joe could play. Joe could have been another Etling.

O sold Joe on LSU.

Joe knew they were going to the spread offense with our PO mixed in. He played that style of offense in high school and that what was so intriguing to him coming to LSU. Not to mention the heartfelt feeling he had for Coach O and Coach Stevens Minger.

Great point.

It’s really an unbelievable story we have lived & witnessed.

Always thought Drew Brees was the epitome of strength & humility as an athlete. Burrow ranks right next to Brees in my book...just damn good people.
