Joe Burrow postgame after Auburn last year
Just watching him in this, he seems so much younger. It’s crazy how much has changed from this to now.

I remember the first time I ever heard him speak was after the Miami game I believe. I knew he was different from that moment. He was straight up and matter of fact.

re: Joe Burrow postgame after Auburn last year
Joe got better each week last year as a player and leader. It just seemed like his progression was slow. This was because he was in a terrible QB situation against some of the best defenses in the country.

Joe had to learn all kinds of things in order to get first downs and lead the team. He came into camp really late and some of the players chose sides etc... It took a minute.
He figured out how to play the position at an elite level somewhere between the A&M game and the month in practice and film room preparing for the Fiesta Bowl.

This year with this scheme, OL and the 4 play makers, hes just toying with these same defenses. He's at a different talent level than everyone on the defensive side.

The Brady system has guaranteed the Heisman for Joe, but he was going to have a big year regardless of the scheme.

He was a little more reserved then. Still sense the same sarcasm and bluntness he has now, though.

For me it was 1st quarter of his first game vs. Miami
Pass play called. He saw the Defensive allignment and audibled to give to handoff to Brosette. Result: 45 yard scmaper to the house. Set the stage for the rest of the game.

I wont argue with that. I agree that he had most of it figured out at the very least by the last month.

It was his first year playing big boy football. He picked it up as fast as anyone that Ive seen. Especially given the circumstances, he walked into.

A group of cast-offs lead by JB. Wasn’t good enough for “the” OSU. A HC that wasn’t wanted & a RB that no one recruited.

Coach saw something, made his case & Joe bought in. The rest is history. He is a special young man and a hell of a college QB.

CEH said it, “Ya can’t measure heart”. He is a role model for the back ups looking for the spotlight.

Coach is a local in his perfect place at the perfect time. He has learned from previous mistakes and managed his team & staff to the max.

Can’t ask for anything more Tigers. Regardless of how the season plays out, it’s a great time to be a Tiger and at this point in my journey, couldn’t ask for more.
