Are they the most universally well received coaches this board has ever seen? I wasn't on here when saban was coach but I'd imagine but when he was here, he was well received too. Am I missing anybody?

fans wanted Saban fired even into his NC season here.

I remember one of my LSU acquaintances talking about firing Saban in 2002, the season after we won the SEC. And I know there were many like hm.

By far. I’ll downvote anybody as much as Chicken allows me if they talk shite on William Wade. That man, is a baaaaaaad man

I'm a simple man, I see Will Wade, I upvote.

Don't get me wrong, they've been great. But they also were able to benefit from low expectations. The LSU basketball program had crashed and burned. People were just hoping Wade could get them back to a NCAAT appearance 3-4 years down the road...not SEC champions in year two with a remarkable 16-2 conf. record.
Likewise, people were just hoping Brady could make the LSU offense competitive with some of the better offenses CFB. Not the #1 offense in the country!
They are well received because they have exceeded all reasonable expectations.
Contrast that with O who had the burden of HUGE expectations before he even coached one game as LSU's permanent HC.

I remember the first caller after the UAB loss. “ give him his money and let’s get a real coach” always wondered who that was and how stupid he must feel. My dad looked at me and said “ these people are crazy”! Lol

Bill Arnsberger and Bo Rein had high anticipation.

Arnsparger did a pretty good job. If Wade gets the BB team in the top 10 nationally, then i am all in. Other than that, he’s tickling my balls.

Anticipation wise, Hallman came in with high expectations from fans. The idea was he spotted and made Brett Favre and NFL QB. Turned out that Favre mad Hallman look like a genius coach.
