Not trying to sound melodramatic, but Joe Alleva has ruined fall Saturdays for me. I used to love game day. It was the best day of the week. The house was alive and totally awesome. Now I can barely even find the courage to pick up the remote to turn on ESPN. The fact that it’s game day now, after what happened last week, leaves me with this sickening pitt of despair in my stomach. Reflections on what once was, what could have been, and the dark clouds of uncertainty hanging over tomorrow leave me ill. Joe Alleva may have potentially, single-handedly, destroyed our football program for a decade to come. That is all. End rant. Geaux Tigers.

I'm no expert but I'm gonna guess that maybe you invest too much of your happiness in the outcome of a football game

Some day LSU will get the right coach, will be good again, and it'll be fun to be an LSU fan. Until that day, enjoy your saturday and treat it more as a leisure activity instead of an interested hobby.

So don't turn it on and go enjoy your weekend with family. Stop letting 18, 19, and 20 year olds control your mood.

It’s not them that are controlling my mood. It’s the 50 and 60 year-olds in charge

Or just use the game as a 3 hr escape from reality. Stay invested for that time live with the team in the moment. As soon as it is done win or lose move on get over it and wait for the next one. An LSU win or loss will not affect out lives. Still have bills to pay work to go to and a family to take care of.

Coming here and seeing a week long pity party of people feeling sorry for themselves gets really old.

This all started with his ridiculous rules and charging for parking on campus which at one time were prime tailgating areas. I can remember for years tailgating right near the student union with 4 other large groups...it was a family for ten years! Now, no one goes...
This is what happens when someone is in charge that has NO IDEA of the culture and how unique the culture really is. LSU's tradition of tail gating is so different from other schools in the SEC. But, Joe put a "one size fits all" to his policy. There is nothing unique or special in his approach. Leadership at LSU in general is lacking!

Alleva is undoubtedly the worst thing to happen to LSU athletics in my lifetime

I built a nice pergular outside for LSU games, $20,000 up in smoke because of Alleva.

If you could only replace 1 person in the whole scheme of things, Alleva would be my first choice. He's nothing short of an overpaid wuss. We're spinning our wheels with this guy at the wheel.

Well we are a national punchline now... we have Farmer Fran as head coach. And he completely humiliated the university and fans last Saturday.
