Joe Alleva- Biggest failure *to date*

Let’s play a game, what’s the biggest failure by Joe Alleva
Was it when Joe wouldn’t let Les hire Dave Aranda so he hired Kevin Steele and our 2015 defense was garabage?
Was it his failed hiring of Jimbo Fisher?
Was it his failed hire of Johnny Jones?
Was it him failing to hire Tom Herman?
What about the time he expelled 4 innocent young men over a murders fake rape claim with absolutely no proof. I believe the state attorney called if a sham and a judgement that was rushed due to public pressure over white privilege.
What about when he hired Trent Johnson? He passed on Virginia’s coach in this hire by the way.
How about the PR disaster with Hurricane Matthew, he fricked that up royally. But it’s not like we got a slapped together 11am homegame and traded that for a night game vs Florida huh? I wonder what local business owners thought about that.
How about that time that he was so stubborn about a fricking video coordinator that we almost lost CPM to Texas? A fricking video coordinator.
How about the ads around campus? We look broke and trashy.
What about tailgating, has that gotten better in the past decade? Surely the game day experience is top notch, can’t wait to see the tents lined up Nicholson in the fall. I mean it’s not like they would take tailgating away, contract it out to a commercial company and try to make money off of tailgating huh?
Remember when he hired Patrick Murphy? Oh wait...
he got lucky as hell with Beth.
What about the time he took a shining star, our General and threw him under the bus to appease guys like Dick Vitale and Clayton Travis?
I’ve pulled the little I did donate to the school but I’m ready to March on this cocksuckers office.
Can’t wait for the first person to say it’s not his fault it’s the board. If that’s the case- he’s deadweight and he should be fired immediately.

Joe has his faults and plenty of them but some of these are reaches to be really upset at Joe over.
He had Miles out and Fisher in but the board stepped in and squashed. Alleva is at fault for making his plans public before executing.
Herman’s camp “leaked” the news of Herman to LSU to force Texas’s hand as that’s where he wanted to go all along. Alleva did probably make a rash decision in immediately hiring O instead of reevaluating and then making a decision.
Trent Johnson was a solid hire on paper and then he led them to an sec championship year one. He refused to recruit and was not a good fit. Alleva has just gotten the job and he may have not understood the best paper hire isn’t always the best hire for LSU.
I can’t defend him on this one. He coward down to Dale Brown And Collis Temple.
I never understood why he got criticized for this. He went out and actually hired one of the best coaches in the country from his rival. It’s not Alleva’s fault that the guy backed out last minute. He then followed that up with a great hire of Torina.
A lot of what you said has merit but some things he is criticized for are a little extreme. There are plenty of reasons to not like the guy to where you don’t have to reach for reasons.

Not nearly among his biggest failures, but you could add his dumb comments as well as his petty comments trashing Wade post-suspension. Also all his petty comments he made via local media and those that the likes of Dellenger signed their name to could be added to his resume of dysfunction.

The only place that hire looked good was when you looked at Stanford’s record. Any research would have shown you that it was built competent on the backs of the Lopez Twins and that he was a shitty recruiter.
Just keep defending him it’s fine by me, it’s an easy argument to destroy.
