Would he be a good fit as OC? Has developed some goot talent including Boller, Rodgers @ Cal and Harrington @ Oregon (although he was a bust in the NFL...dude put up some pretty stout #'s @ Oregon).

I wasn't aware we have a vacancy. Is Krags about to step down because of health reasons? Is Stud going to take a HC job somewhere?

This is stupid. If that dude wants to come here to be OC then you get rid of Krags on the spot.

Krags has nothing to do with this equation..he a our QB coach, not OC.

I am not suggesting that we have a vacancy...but in my humble opinion, Tedford has a few more skins on the wall than Stud relative to qualifications as a OC.

I know that but if Tedford is on the table you don't pass him up. However, he'll be a head coach at a smaller school I'm sure.

He can make more $$$ as a OC in the SEC than as a HC at a smaller school.

But can his ego take it? A lot of head coaches have a hard time taking a step back.

Okay - yes he does - he's the QB coach. If Tedford comes in at OC, he will be the QB coach (because Tedford will not be the OL coach - so even if Stud is let go, Krags will have to be so a slot is available to hire an OL coach).

Or do you not understand how this works? In our current situation, OC/QB coach are almost an automatic package because few OCs also act as OL coach. (I guess it's possible to slide Krags down to TE coach and let Ensminger go, but I don't see that happening, either.)

If Tedford is hired, either Krags would have to go and Stud would be demoted back to OL coach, or they would both have to go and a new OL coach would be brought in. I stand by that.
