I find it hilarious that many posters here are critical of Coach O showing up for a JBE fundraiser on the LSU campus. Where were you guys comments when Miles showed up to Jindal's re-election victory party, or your comments when Miles and Jindal had dinners together at the former Sullivan's Steakhouse.

It was wrong when Jindal did it, too.

It is possible for Louisiana to have successive governors who suck.

In fact, Louisiana has had long strings of successive shitty governors.

Did Miles campaign for Jindal?
Going to dinner and victory parties is a little different.

It was wrong fo both....plus being compared to Miles is no win considering how much of an idiot that Miles was....however I don't recall Miles actually stumping for JBE on a podium much less a damn TV commercial.

At least somebody gets it.

ETA I had some old boy tell me that Blanco showing up at the Indoor practice facility during Saban's days and someone giving her a helmet put Saban in the same boat as the shite O is doing.....

Miles was on the stage the night of Jindal’s re-election

You not being able to see the difference between someone going to a victory party and someone stumping for a candidate is pretty pitiful. There is a big difference and two do not compare.

and nobody said shite.

now that Orgeron does it with an actually successful governor (just looking at the numbers), and it becomes an issue.

Campaigning vs victory parties. Big difference. Huge. Only a dimocrat would see it as the same

According to state civil employee code and LSU internal policy, neither O nor Miles did anything wrong.

Just whiney partisan politicians making a big fuss and then claiming they would say the same if it were a Republican. Fact is, they didn't until a coach attended a Democrat fundraiser

And people are still stuck in a stupid two party system to realize it

Yeah I didn't give a frick about Miles stumping for Jindal and don't give a frick about O stumping for Edwards.

Funny that NOW is when people are bemoaning an LSU head coach vaguely dipping his toes into politics when LSU football and state politics have been inextricably linked since the Long era.

Why do you people think the fanbase is a 50/50 split of CEO vs. Miles.

I see it:

25% pro-CEO
25% pro-Miles
50% anti-CEO & anti-Miles

If I wanted politics with my sports I'd watch espn and the nfl.
