Has he played himself into being a third round or higher selection if he strings together another 5 good games? I think he is a better passer these last three games than Jalen Hurts or Lamar Jackson were their last year of college ball. Hope he stays one more year.

He’s gone if he keeps it up.

Probably. If he is a serious heisman candidate, he could be projected in first couple rounds.

I really hope his advisors choose for him to come back next year for everything that’ll be available to him. As opposed to trying to land a practice squad spot after drafted inn2nd round. We’ll see ...

You think he’s better than Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson?

No team is going to use a second round pick and put a player on the practice squad.

He’s got a chance to work himself to first round pick if he comes back. He’s definitely improved his stock, but I see him coming back for year 2 and the entire receiving core (minus Jenkins and Boutte) and O-Line being back.

I’m not concerned. He just needs to look at Burrow from year one to two. BK will make sure the roster is loaded around him to make a run.

Say JD earns a trip to NYC as a Heisman finalist. The ceiling, right? In '23 he would then be the arguable front-runner going into a season where a LOADED LSU squad will be an SEC & CFP front-runner.

ZERO chance JD leaves CBK unless LSU is now inside a 10-game win streak finishing 13-2 & National Champions.

Even then, JD almost certainly comes back for the coach he owes it all to, plus ridiculous NIL $$$, plus possible Legend status, plus plus plus

I guess you gotta take the money if it’s there but another year of learning to make multiple reads and work on accuracy would be awesome for him and us.

As stated in OP, I think he is a better passer these past three games than Hurts or Jackson WERE their last year of college.

Sure it is. Heisman goes to the best player in cfb.

Look up the top 4 players that finished in heisman voting the last few years & then tell me how many of them were drafted outside of the first 2 rounds.

I he finishes the season as good or better he will get a sniff in the second round but mor like late third to me because of the “body” of work over his career. If we get to and win the ship could be earlier.

He will prob be a third rounder. He has been hot the past few weeks but he had a slow start this year.

His performance is definitely on an upward trend. But it will also depend on how strong of a QB class coming out this year vs next year.
